Wish I had the luck you do with the benchmarks. I ran it five times in a row. Only twice did it register above Nexus One 2.2+, the other three times were ranked either sightly above or below Droid X 2.2+. WTF.

I don't know if it's a trick or what but after turning on STAGEFRIGHT settings in Jrummys Droid Overclock app I'm getting Quadrants in the high 1700's , set at 1ghz undervolted.

Edit: STagefright took out my video playback, I'm not recommending this anymore.

OK, not sure if I screwed up or not. I flashed to ApeX 1.3, everything is great and have no intentions on going back to stock. My question is when GB drops, what is going to be my best bet to update. The only back up I ended up with on my SD card is from Clockwork recovery.update.zip, so is there going to be a way to update or am I going to have to SBF to update. Just thinking ahead so I can get the files I need before I need them.

You would need to have made a stock 2.2.1 backup then run that back to stock.

Correct me if I am wrong but this is what I was thinking of ,,,and from reading stuff this is where my brain is at haha

I deleted my 2.2 backups (2.3.15),(ok I lied ,didnt really delete those old 2.2(2.2.315) backups yet just not on the sd card thats in my phone now at this time) since I am on 2.2.340 and it has a different bootloader I fiqure I would brick if I tried to use those old backups (2.3.15)


That being said again I have an 2.2.1 stock (2.3.340) backup made, along with TBPro and MyBackupPro.
I am probably the only one in this thread who hasnt installed this rom , so do I get a gold star when I take the plunge hahaha

Yea 2.2 backups wont work. Yes you will get 2 gold stars and great support!

Good question. I wouldn't think so. It's like taking a hard drive from one computer and putting it in another, while the drive will work it won't read the data because it's configured for certain hardware and device ID's. I would imagine taking a backup from one DX to another DX would have a similar problem, despite having the same exact hardware. Might not register with the MEID and serial numbers.

Hey, I flashed w/ system only .340 SBF (thanks TNT for the heads up, I've been suggesting to start from .320 but this is way easier) and everything is intact, apps, data....radio,baseband all up to date...nice.

(was already on .340 but w/ Apex Rom) Just needed a STock .340 for whatever.

has Apex 1.3.1 come out yet......

My camera saves pictures, just anything I download won't show in the gallery. I'm going to back up the sd card, format it and start over. I will let you know if that works.

I kind of got attached to the AOSP notification bar. ANybody have an idea on how to get that back without losing Apex?

You want the original notification bar back? Seems like everyone wants the black. This is for a different Rom but either way it looks like it wipes out a bunch of stuff. Id like to see a clear notification bar.

If your phone freezes / reboots when attempting to apply the final step, it may come back up with only some of the mod/theme applied (you'll still see th black taskbar). If this is the case, apply the MetaMorph again, this time, only selecting the final sub-theme, 'framework-res.apk'.

The above happens to me everytime I use metamorph to install the clear notification bar. But then the phone gets stuck on M logo and I have to wipe and restore. I may try to apply one at a time and see if there is anymore success.

He is definitely an awesome dude. I love ApeX, should have jumped on that boat MUCH earlier than I did but I'm glad I have.
