I see the problem...I'm running Unstable Apps OC, you've got a different one.

Let me ask, when you flashed the files from the TBH Patch post, did you just download and run each one of them in the order they are listed, then re-installed the ApeX ROM? I'm thinking about putting them all on tonight, even though I'm already running .340 via the ApeX 1.3 I installed yesterday. My kernal and Radio are different from what they have.

My phone is stock .340 and rooted. Can't I just simply rename the ApeX file as "update.zip," install it from the Android bootloader (holding down the camera button, down volume button, and power button), and then wipe data and cache?

EDIT: nvm, I just followed the droid-life instructions for safety's sake.

Did you try what this guy did (http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-x-roms-hacks/48162-how-root-2-2-1-answer.html)? It solved what sounds like the same problem you're having.

Ok, sounds like the same issue I was having. This was the first ROM that I had flashed on my X. I did some research and it looked like my phone needed deodexed before the ROM would load. I found some instructions from the "All-one-guide" posted by mygamjaishot, in same area on androidforums that I downloaded ApeX 1.3 from that directed to run the 928 Droid Black Glass X theme as that would take care of the deodex. The theme was not for the updated 2.2.1 so it would not load after it was flashed but it took me to recovery and I flashed the ApeX zip from my SD card. After that, it loaded up with no issues.

No reinstall needed, one at a time w/ reboot. any order, but I went from the bottom up in bootstrap.

Activate your phone afterwords by dialing *228
