ApeX 1.4.1

Fab announced ApeX 1.4.1 on his twitter.

Got it loaded and holy crap... I didn't think it could get any snappier. Haven't even overclocked yet and things are opening and closing quicker than ever.

Pretty smooth so far, I'll check back in in the morning with more.

I think he pulled it and is in the process of releasing 1.4.1 into ROM manager. At least thats what I got from his tweet.

what is better in 1.4.1 opposed to 1.4.0? it seems like 1.4.0 just came out? is it worth reformatting and starting over from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1?

It has my framework in the new toolbox that's what's better! . No need to wipe data if on 1.4.0.

So far I really like apex... came from liberty and don't think I will be going back.

One thing I liked better about liberty is the ease of installing themes. So far I haven't figured out how to (1) change the theme... (2) a place to find themes.

What I want is a simple black and white style theme... not the green standard one.

Any help?

Former Liberty guy here too. Waiting for the Revolution theme to be ported for ApeX 1.4.X that is my favorite Black/White theme for ApeX.

Fab is working on a couple more. The Nexolution theme is a black and white theme. If I remember correctly he's working on getting these into the Apex Toolbox.

Ringtone/ notification problem

I can change my ringtones or notification sounds but when they go off I stilll only get the default if it rings at all. Any way to fix this. I just updated to 1.4.1 but it also did it with 1.4.0

Help please.

The only thing I can come up with is if you're using handcent or something similar there is a setting in the app itself to change the notifications. It's set to the default notification automatically.

As far as the ringtone I had to set mine a couple times then it worked fine after that.

I saw a post saying that custom ringtones for contacts aren't working on 1.4.1. I realize it may be related to something specific on that persons phone. Can anyone tell me if they are working (different ringtones for different contacts)?

its hit and miss for me. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it either uses the default ringer or it doesn't ring at all
