App for different notification sounds for specific apps.

I realize that this is probably somewhere in the forums oh, but I can't seem to put the correct Search terms in to find the answer. So please excuse me if this is a repeating question

Is there an app where I can change the individual notification sounds on my new Z flip 3?

For instance where the messenger apps notification sounds don't all sound the same. I would like to have one for Instagram message, and one for just regular text messaging.

You should be able to do that by going to Settings>Apps, then select the app in question. Tap Notifications, then tap the words of the notification category you're interested in (not the toggle switch). Now tap Sound, and select a different tone.

Keep in mind that some app developers might not let you change the notification tone. I think Facebook is like that, but it's been a while since I've had that installed on any of my phones.

Facebook does allow you to change notifications, I just did that the other day to change it to something I like better.

OH, it's been there, it can't be a B-kitty to find. My notification for Facebook is the old BBM chime from BlackBerry. I dropped BBM after they wanted a subscription, but I still had the ringtones that transferred over when I swapped Note 9 to Note 20.

Can you customize the notification tone for FB Messenger? I think that was also not possible for a while, but hopefully they changed that as well.

For Text messages, open your Messages App, tap the 3 dots for Settings, tap the Notifications bar, not the toggle, then the General Notifications bar, and you can change your sound there. I just did that.

Yes, you can. Tap the Avatar at the upper left, by "Chats," then Notifications and Sounds, and "Customize Notifications" to get to that setting.
