App notification sounds...

Hopefully this answer can be answered. How do I get back the notification sounds for the apps I get notifications from? Several of the apps have their own notification sounds and since switching all my notifications all use the one I picked for text messages.

Hi,you can try resetting app preferences in phone settings , 3 dots upper right corner and scroll to app preference.

That did not work. Had an S8+ before the Note 10+ and the apps that had their own notifications worked without needing to change or do anything. It was nice hearing a notification and knowing if it was something to check right away or hold off till I had time. Thanks for the suggestion.

Try this...
Settings-notifications
Scroll to recently sent
Tap "see all"
Tap app you want to set notifications for, toggle on "show notifications "
From there you will be able to toggle on or off "quiet notifications" if you click on it, you will be able to set sound specifically for that app.

Your welcome, this is ongoing problem on andriod 9 (pie) something either changes it or power saving mode interfering.
Make sure you dont have any DND or digital well being and if your using launcher check that also

This is what I see when I got to an app, under apps listing. There is nothing about quiet notifications.

Try resetting settings , go to your phone settings then type in search bar reset , then reset settings

That did not work either. I'm about to do a hard reset but I reluctant because I hate setting up a new phone, so much to turn off, delete and change. As it is nearly a week later and I'm still changing and figuring out stuff.

Don't do factory reset yet , try reset app preference

Are you using a theme? I found the same, or what I understood as the same issue as you, was caused by a theme I had applied. I changed themes and got back my specific app tones.
