App Notification

Wanting to see if anyone is experiencing the same issue I am. I keep getting notifications from apps even after I go into the application manager and uncheck the notifications box. Some of the apps randomly get a check placed back in the box. I've made sure that they do not auto update so I don't understand why this happens.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you also go into those individual app settings (i.e., opening the app and tapping Menu) to look for the Notification settings there? Is it turned off there?

Are they apps you've moved to the SD card?

It's a known bug. Apps on the SD card in Kit Kat will reset notification preference after a reboot. So until there is a fix, you either have to turn off the notifications each time you reboot or you will need to move those apps back to the phone.

Well that's garbage. Well thank you for everyone's responses. Guess I'll just have to move them back to the phone until they possibly get a fix.
