[APP][ONE-CLICK ROOT] Sons of Korhal Root Utility 1.0.1

Thank you so much! I destroyed my sister's phone trying to find a good rooting method but was able to make it work with this one. you're wonderful!

Short Answer:
Nope
Long Answer:
Not unless you flash a custom ROM (which you don't have to do and in fact cannot do with this tool). Google automatically saves your contacts and paid apps anyway, so nothing to worry about there. Also, once rooted, you can install a custom recovery and can make a TOTAL backup of everything on your phone. This is called a "Nandroid Backup". (Note: These backups are BIG. If you're still using the sd card lg gave you, you need to get more storage). After you restore a nandroid, your phone will be exactly as it was before. Also, Rooting voids your warrenty, so be sure you are sure you know what you are doing and this is indeed what you want to do with your device.
Best of Luck!:D

I have my friend trying to get his LG Optimus S to be working as he can't afford any other phone atm.

I have been messing with it and managed to update firmware to 2.3 or something like that. I'm used to working with my Evo 4G, not this. Will try this to see if it works, hope so.

If you are asking how long rooting takes, it just takes a couple of minutes. Whats takes awhile is making sure you have all the drivers and files.

Yeah... took 45 seconds using GingerBreak app on my Optimus S..

I think useing a non rooted Droid is like living with you parent "under there roof" rooted is your own apartment. :)

i am so mad i have tried a million different ones and this one literally took like 2 minutes ugh there goes two weeks of my life thanks for the download tho :p

I have the LG Optimus S with 2.3.3...and when I start the program it just sits there forever saying "Contacting Kerrigan...". Am I doing something wrong?

Have you downloaded the specific Drivers for your phone? it has to have them to communicate properly

ran the utility... its said it worked...but there is no superuser or anything on my phone and YES i have the correct drivers for my lg optimus s... so whats the problem.... seems like none of these so called one click roots work... tried them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you follow instructions, keeping the screen on to accept any pop ups? I have had best luck with the automated root tool that is up in the stickies.

If you are uncertain of its success, install and run Root Checker.
