Hello,

the calender app Calengoo has an option to set up stop and start times for any sound alerts
and it is a very good calender app too

Tasker is a great app that can be used for not only for what you are asking, but has a multitude of other awesome uses. Worth the $3 or whatever it costs.

Great to come across this post. I too was looking out for some stuffs like this. Thanks to all who recommended some tools.

This.

EDIT: To expand on why I think Tasker is a better choice than a typical do not disturb app on the market is that I can have additional requirements before it has the phone go silent. Most apps work on a schedule (eg: silent between 11pm-6am), this is fine most of the time but what if I am out late one night? With Tasker I have it set to only go silent if 3 conditions are all met, it is between 11pm-6am, it is connected to my home wifi, and it is being charged (wireless charger on nightstand).

+1, like on facebook, retweet, and instragram <3

Basically Tasker is the best. :)

I've been using automateit, mainly as it was free. Decent app. Still haven't found anything that permits simple toggling of sound profiles the way my old BlackBerry did.

I use Do Not Disturb as well. Tasker may be great if you're interested in really diving into the guts of it but I found it was way overkill for me. Do Not Disturb is easy and works...

Llama... it's a very easy to use automation app that will do exactly that without much fuss.... it's considerably easier to configure than tasker.
