Hello everyone.

I have recently been getting errors lately saying "Application cannot be installed in the default install location" when trying to update apps. I've had them before but have been able to download and update apps later but now it is not updating. I have tried downloading new apps and no luck either. I am unrooted, running stock 4.0.3, and do not have an SD card installed. Does anyone know what is causing this problem? And how to fix it?

And while updating Google Maps, I got another message saying "insufficient storage available" yet I have 9.92 GB of space available. Any clues as to what's causing that? Thanks,

Adam

Hello,

Its very easy to do if you are getting a message that app can not be installed on USB or SD card. Simply unmount your sd card from storage setting and then install the app. I am facing the same issue in samsung galaxy core 2 and this trick help me out.

Thanks,
Abhi Vishen

why are you even suggesting we remove the app?...you don't even know if we play any games on the tablet etc. so you have NO right to be even telling to get rid of a game app that we love to play so do your research or keep quiet and you can just remove the large space apps on your own if you don't play any games so just get rid of your acct as well as you have no clue what to do etc. about this issue

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and what worked for me was clearing the cache in the play store and then restarting my device.
