Applications are all "quitting unexpectedly."

My LG Optimus S is right out of the box 2.5 hours ago. I have it activated, I can get to the home page and I can dial out, but applications all "stop unexpectedly" including Google Framework, which sounds important. If anyone can lead me out of this dark forest I'd be super happy.

Try wiping the device.
