I think I will install a few, ditching some "classic" ones. A little open-source in the tablet world wouldn't hurt... if they can overcome some proprietary stuff like radio and such

I have used F-Droid quite a bit. There is a lot of stuff that doesn't interest me at all, but there are a lot of FOSS gems, too. And having access to the source code of some decent apps is really great when you're working on learning how to build Android apps.
