As I anxiously await delivery of my first-ever Android device, I've been reading about rooting.
A lot of processes talk about backing up to your SD card, loading a ROM from your SD card, etc, etc...
Obviously the One doesn't have a REMOVABLE SD card.
So my question is, is there a virtual one mounted somewhere? Some part of the file system that is safe from being wiped when unlocking, relocking, rooting, or other potentially dangerous actions. If so, can this virtual SD card be accessed via USB connection from a computer so stuff can be moved in and out of it? I'm guessing yes on that last bit, but I'm most concerned about is it a safe place to park stuff. ie, when I get the thing rooted, can I place backups there while I play around with other stuff?
Thanks.
