Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7

Damn, wish I checked this thread before I bought Swiftkey for tablets.

I've only run into an issue with NBA Game Time, which isn't compatible. And waiting on the HBO Go and Amazon Video additions.

If you have Xfinity cable, the Xfinity player has been updated and works on the Nexus 7. You can now watch HBO!

Authenticator doesn't work because you can't download the XZing barcode scanner that is required.

Marvel/Comixology basically don't work since you can't use the Guided Mode which is the only way to easily read comics on a 7in screen.

So far the following does not work:
DiscoverCard
Allrecipes Pro
IRS2GO
SunTrust

I have not tried to load all my apps I have loaded on my original Galaxy Tab 7. I will do that this weekend.

a couple more

amazing alex doesn't work - email from Rovio says that "Unfortunately Nexus 7 can not be added to the compatible devices due to its non standard way of reading the game's manifest file. This is something we can not change, it's up to the device manufacturer and Operation System manufacturer." - is this something thats likely to be fixed?

istunt2 doesn't open dispite the fact that it says its compatible.

i'm new to android so not sure how common it is for things to not be supported or how likely they are to be fixed in the future.

I got Amazing Alex from Amazon a few days ago and works fine on my Nexus 7

"Draw Something" has some issues on N7. I can get it to work but it is very slow in loading and hangs from time to time.

Mine are.....

Directv
SirusXM
Enhanced E-mail (exchange only)
HBOGo
Microsoft One Note (my most important)

I'm running Enhanced Email just fine; although I did get it from Amazon instead of Google.

Can we include tablet optimized HD apps that run, but are basically unusable because they ignore the dpi value for fonts. Unless you are nearsighted, some of these apps that require you to read the screen really need to adapt the font size to the screen size. Or at least give me the option to change it. I'm still in the dark about what I am supposed to do in Galaxy on Fire HD because I could barely read the tutorial instructions. SpaceChem is even worse, I can't see it's text at all, maybe if I find my magnifying glass.

These same apps that don't adjust font size also suffer from incredibly tiny button syndrome. I used my magnifying glass on SpaceChem and found that there are a bunch of buttons that are so small on the Nexus 7 that they are impossible to accurately touch without touching neighboring buttons.

CTV Olympics installs, but the videos won't load after the opening ad (while they do on my iPhone). No update to NBC yet.

Well I rooted my nexus 7 and discovered that games like dead trigger weren't compatible
With my nexus7. So I restored it to Its "out of the box" condition. And bam I could now use apps etc. Also found an app in the app store called ultimate rotation. Which Unlocks the default screen orientation. And you don't have to root. Check it out.:) yes you can even have the home screen in landscape mode.
