The handwriting recognition app, 7Notes works, BUT it is not immediately apparent if you follow the developer's installation instructions which are geared toward ICS 4.0..

When I installed 7Notes, I thought it was not working and filed a bug report with the developer. They did not have an immediate answer, but later replied with a link to the XDA developers forum. They asked me to try the XDA solution, and report back to them.

It worked as described at XDA. It's not a bug, but the fact that alternate input methods are selected differently in Jellybean.

Oh man! Can somebody verify this please??? I can't live without my Kindle app. That will be a huge disappointment for me if that's the case.

I'm sure Amazon will be working on an update to make it JB compatible but I need it NOW!

The Nook and Kindle app are both available for the Nexus 7

Having problems with Google sky map.
The app launches, but seems to always point south.

The catch compass app is spotty, but magnetometer seems to be OK. And compass in Google maps seems OK

My biggest two apps not working are:
Siriusxm. Already mentioned at least 2 times
Radio.com. Love to listen to 670 score but doesn't work on nexus 7.

But both work on iPad of course. Really enjoying Google Now on N7. Amazing app (in my opinion).

Sent an email to Siriusxm but of course that only gets the pre-programmed bs answer.

Super Keyboard Pro worked great for a few days, but today kept popping up saying it had quit. Shut down and restarted the tablet, but still the problem. Finally went back to the original keyboard and the error messages stopped. Guess I'll stick with the original. LOVE my N7!

HBO Go Installs, let's me sign in, looks beautiful. It only plays through the "rating" screen then loads forever.

NextIssue (as expected) doesn't work, loads, let's you sign in and then goes into a crash loop after you "pin" a title (depressing as this seems to be the only way to continue my Entertainment Weekly digital subscription)

The Verizon FIOS apps are unstable or just plain broken. The FIOS digital voice app usually crashes the first time you enter it but then it will start the second time so it's possible to use it to turn calling features on and off such as call forwarding. The FIOS Remote doesn't work at all on the N7 but it marginally works on my rooted Galaxy Nexus. FIOS DVR seems to function.

The Nest app does not work.

App installs fine but when you launch it, says the mobile app doesn't yet work with your Android device's screen size and resolution.

* NextIssue is unavailable from Play because it sees both my Transformer and N7 has unsupported. I downloaded the apk from their site and launched it, but after a short time it crashed and now not only can't be started, but it pops up a crash notice every few minutes until it was uninstalled.

The lack of support for Conde Nast magazines is infuriating. I can't really dump my Fire until that and Amazon's lack of a Instant Video app are resolved.

I'm also disappointed because I can't download Next Issue. I can't access my Entertainment Weekly subscription because there's no EW app for Android and Next Issue doesn't work on the N7. It's frustrating.

I also wish a Tumblr app worked.

No doubt most of you have already thought of this, but here's how I addressed the "not compatible with my Nexus 7" issue.

I also have an Asus Infinity, but most other phones/tablets that have an SD card or micro-sd should work the same. My method depends on Astro File Manager (which everybody should have anyway!) be installed on the "host" machine, ie. the one that contains the apps you want.

Just use Astro File Manager to "backup" the offending apps, then copy the resulting APK's from the backups directory on the host machine to the removable storage. Then eject / unmount the removable storage and remove it.

Put the removable storage into your PC, and also connect your Nexus 7 to the same PC or Mac. Just copy the APK's from the removable storage media to the downloads directory on your Nexus 7.

Use Astro File Manager to install the apps on the Nexus 7.

Put the removable storage back in the host machine and enjoy your new apps. I've done this with may apps, and have yet to find any that didn't actually run just fine, so not sure what the holdup may be in regards to just getting them from Google Play.

Hey thanks for the tip shafferb! I used Airdroid to download the Bright House TV and HBO GO apps from my Galaxy Nexus, then I emailed them to myself and opened the apk's on my Nexus 7. Both installed without a hitch. I've been sitting here since I got my Nexus 7 waiting for these two to be updated on Google Play lol. Now I have both of my most wanted apps on my tablet. Too cool! Thanks for the idea!
