Apps that don't work on the Nexus 7

Viggle has not worked for a long time. It went bad when my 2012 Nexus 7 was on Android 4.3 and it's gotten worse on Android 4.4. Now, I have Android 4.4.2 and it won't even stay open.

Anyone have issues with candy crush or Netflix? For some reason they both force close however on my nexus 5 they both work fine.

MX Player is working now with Android 4.4.2. It was just updated.

For me even after getting the 4.4.2 download is the Barcode scan. Now I get as far as getting the small box it says to put the barcode on, and it does nothing. I do see double red lines within the box, but do not know what I am I suppose to do with those red lines. i tried to swipe them apart but it does not work that way. BTW, new to Android lingo what is an apk? i know what app is.

An apk file is a bar file. You are supposed to center the bar code you want to scan between the red lines. Then, there will be an automatic scan.

Thanks i thought so but the instructions for that app do not even mention anything about a red line just a square box and center the box within it. The red lines are practically on top of each other and couldn't find a way to separate them...either be swiping or squeezing. I still don't know what a bar file is LOL

I'm sorry. I was wrong about apk. An application (app) that you get from Google Play is a file in the apk format. Apk is just the file format name for apps. A bar file is the file format of an app that is used if you are trying to side load the app. These are just names for file formats.

Is it not possible anymore to install Google Earth on Nexus 7 2012? Couldn't find it in Google Play. Can anybody help?

I just this minute found it in Google Play on my 2012 Nexus 7 Android 4.4.2 Tablet. I couldn't try downloading it since it is marked with a check indicating that I already have it.

Go to Google Play's link for it with Chrome or another browser, click install, and select the device....

After updating to Lollipop on my Nexus 7 (2012) I'm having real trouble with Pandora just runs for 10 to 20 seconds then crashes. Hopefully things will improve very soon! went fine with Ver.4.4.4

Don't know why, but I was running angry birds transformers just the other day on KitKat 4.4.4, updated to 5.0.2, downloaded the game after a factory reset, it crashed. Decided to revert to 4.4.4 and now google won't allow me to download the games again, giving me the Device not compatible message.
