April update 2016

Ouch. 5% with 3:13 SOT.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. But on your picture above, where the Wi-Fi line is at, to the right of that (the horizontal line) what exactly does the green and blank space (space between the green) mean? Green equals good Wi-Fi connection? Blank means Wi-Fi is off? If you look at my stats for example, last night I went to bed around 11:30 p.m. and woke up at 6:40 a.m. and I turn off my data and Wi-Fi when I go to sleep. Then I did a hard reset (by holding power and volume down key) around 7:15 a.m.

I know for the cellular/signal service green means you have a strong signal and yellow means weak signal, but I'm curious what the blank space means for the Wi-Fi, especially if it's during the night when I'm sleeping and I have my Wi-Fi/data turned off.

Not sure if I'm seeing much of a battery improvement after a week with the April update. My use can fluctuate wildly but if I had to estimate, I'd say there's a barely noticeable improvement.

One thing I'm really excited about is that my 6P now works perfectly when streaming music over bluetooth to my 2014 Camaro. Previously, I would get interference every 3-4 minutes, which lasted about 3 seconds. I went on two hour long drives this week and absolutely no interruptions or hiccups.

Just chiming in with my experiences. I definitely noticed that my battery life took a significant hit after the March update. However, I have also noticed that I have regained some battery life ground with the April update. My weekday patterns are pretty consistent, and my battery is definitely significantly improved since the most recent update, though still not quite up to where it was before the March update was pushed out.

Though not battery related, there's one other annoying change since the March update that I just mentioned in another thread: Ever since the March update, the volume controls will not work when the screen is off. The April update did nothing to fix this. It's a feature I noticed immediately when I first got the phone back in November, as it was a contrast with my old LG G2. I'm hoping Google will restore this functionality with a future update. I'm finding it surprisingly annoying, now that it's gone.

Ugh, disappointed to report that my bluetooth issues in my Camaro have returned. Getting what sounds like interference every 4 minutes. Not sure what happened other than I've restarted my phone once or twice, including a wiping of the cache. I've tried unpair/re-pair of my car twice and still run into that problem.

Yup, damn April update broke my bluetooth as well. I've tried cache wipe and un pair and re pair and nothing working. So damn frustrating to be honest. Both my headphones and car now sucks. Well, this updated sucks.

slightly related, I got an e-mail from Google re: the 6p dropping to hspa on 6.0.1 - they said the development team has fixed the issue and it will be available in a future build - meaning it hasn't been fixed/implemented yet?

From my understanding, they fixed one of the causes, and most people have not had the HSPA issue recently, but something else is causing the issue for other people, and they've fixed the remaining issue. Hopefully it'll be part of the May update, assuming they have time to add it in and successfully test it. If not, it'll likely be in the June update.

Settings search doesn't work for me. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I did not see it mentioned as a known issue.

14% and I have barely 3 hours and about 10 minutes of SOT. Laughable laughable. I keep getting mixed results. Disappointed in Google. Seriously this is a ripping hair out situation.

I did factory reset and I'm back like new. Sucks had to do that to get my bluetooth to function normally again
