April update

So, what will that look like and how does it work?
Once it's enabled in Messages (Settings > Advanced) when someone with an iPhone reacts to one of your texts (like, love, etc.) on their phone you will see that as an emoji symbol instead of getting a whole new text saying "Liked your text....." with the body of your text in the message.

I have that on my Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13 DP Beta 2. That feature may have arrived independently of the update as did other reported "new" features.

True, it's been slowly rolling out for over a month now. Some people with Messages beta got it a long time ago, others did not. Some people got it right after the March feature update, others did not. There was probably a lot of server side updates that had to roll out also. For me, and my phone, the option was not in Messages Settings before the April update, but did appear after the reboot.

Ok. Thankyou for the explanation, Scott337. I'll start watching for that, as I've got at least 8 contacts who use iPhones.

Still haven't got it on mine. Someday I guess.

Have gotten the April update yet but this finally showed up today:

I wish RCS was consistent. Mine keeps getting stuck in sending. I've tried everything to fix it and the problem just keeps resurfacing. I think it's time to just turn it off.

RCS isn't as consistent for me as I would like on my Pixel 5. I manually installed the April update last night, so let's see what happens there.

I hadn't seen it mentioned in this sub forum so I'd thought I'd mention that you can now not have that large two line clock on your AOD. Go into Display, Lock Screen and turn off Double line clock.

That's one of the first things I noticed but forgot to mention it here. Once I discovered that, I got rid of my lock screen notifications I was using just to keep the stupid, giant 2 line clock from showing.

I turned off the two-line clock. Didn't really bother me...I'll see what I think about it not being there.
