I think foursquare applies, if your city is supported. It's free.

Layar is not available yet. I use Somaview Free but I have also tried Movue. You can try either and they're both free. I like Somaview better because it gives you more options.

I have Layar installed right now and I'm using it. I have the Sprint HTC Hero and it works just fine.

layar doesn't work on the Droid and has been pulled from the market for a couple of weeks in order to retool the code for 2.0. When it's compatible, it will be back on the market.
