are there other ways to use GN for tethering besides Wi-Fi?

USB with EasyTether app. I like it because it keeps the phone battery charged.

Really? Mine doesn't. It's weird because if I plug in my Nexus to my MacBook Pro and use Wi-Fi tethering, it'll charge (slowly). If I use USB tethering with EasyTether, the battery will actually drain. Unfortunately my Mac won't stay connected to the internet when I use Wi-Fi tethering so USB is my only option. My Mac is the only device I've tried that does this but I never had problems with any of my iPhones, my Nexus One, or my ThunderBolt, so I don't know if the issue is my Nexus or my Mac.

I bet it is your Mac. It is weird it disconnects.
Have you tried tethering from you GN to other devices just to double check?

Yeah. I said it's the only device that does that. I tether to my iPhone 4 and new iPad all the time and don't have any problems. I've tethered to my mom's netbook. Worked fine. My Mac stays connected to my Galaxy Nexus but the Internet drops after a while. Sometimes it's 30 minutes. Sometimes it's right away. Basically useless though.

You'd automatically think it's an issue with my Mac, but like I said, I've tethered my Nexus One, iPhone 4, and ThunderBolt to it and have never had this problem.
