I'm getting it via Jump on Demand with T-Mobile. The monthly price seems about on par with other flagship phones. I'll definitely be preordering in about 30 min

Well the 300 extra mAh sound better on the G6

You have to remember that it has a slightly less-efficient (in theory) 14nm processor and an LCD backlit display.

The extra battery capacity might actually be needed.

I'm not sure...depends on the price in India. Also, I plan to wait till the iPhone 8 is launched and then decide which one to buy. By that time, hopefully, the price of the S8 would have dropped..

Nope as it's nothing to see here. Seems to be a taller S7 with a weird " we didn't plan on what would happen if we couldn't get the imbedded in screen fingerprint scanner working" fumble. You seriously tell me you didn't have backup plans for if things didn't work out and thats how the fingerprint scanner ended up on the back next to the camera. Thats just like google with the pixel saying they ran out of time. Why does the android ecosystem seem a bit disorientated. Google can't get messaging & other apps right and now the new gimmick from the OEM's is taller phones with a yet another resolution to confuse app developers to make even poorer apps.

The phone is quite expensive for people but looking at the specs and the mobile itself, the price is justifiable. Looking forward to it!!

How come? Except for the disappointing fingerprint sensor, this phone looks really gorgeous and good. I like it even more than the Note 7 appearance wise (no button, no logo, infinity display).

I'm not going to get S8. Not into the edges. My S7 is still new and requires me to wait. Taller phones are of dubious value. Glass is crack of ***. Biometric fallacies. Sticker shock.

I'm definitely going to check it out at my local Best Buy when they get it on demo but as far as buying it goes, probably not. Waiting to see what the iPhone will bring this year. Still enjoying my 7+

I've purchased every Galaxy and Note device Samsung has released (Note 7 excluded) and I can honestly say I am going to take a pass. Several reasons:

-Not crazy about this extra long form factor
-Finger print scanner placement is actually offensive its so stupid
-Terrible and getting worse software update support
-Not the slightest bit interested in Bixby
-Cant get a proper screen protector for the edge screen

I was really hoping the leaks were going to be proven false. Waiting for the Pixel 2.

Let the Pixel 2 and note 8 come in. I'll compare the software and then take a call. I got the S6 at launch. The camera, screen and hardware were great, but it had terrible battery life and horrible software/UI. Samsung's skin can be a real bummer at times.

I've been with LG for a few years now. I also have the Honor 8. I've never had a Samsung device, can't stand capacitive buttons. Well things have changed now. I had been waiting for a Pixel in the fall, but I think I'm on board. I might order​ a GS8 case tomorrow after I get paid. Maybe.

I will say, reviews will play a part in my decision.

I don't think so. I'm liking the G6 more than the S8s. I love dual cameras. I don't know why Samsung didn't go that route this year.

I was all about upgrading my S7Edge to the S8. However, after it took till mid-Feb 2017 for Samsung to release Android Nougat I had a change of heart.

This. This concerns me. I've had Nougat on my G5 since November. I'm chalking this up as collateral damage for trying something new. After seeing that phone in action in various hands on videos yesterday, I want this device.

Also, I'm kinda hoping you can turn Bixby off. I prefer Google Assistant and I'll be using launchers anyway. Love Nova's Pixel setup.

I pre-ordered the S8+ from Sprint and I had to pay $59 in taxes and $10 in shipping!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!! Still excited about the phone can't wait until April 21st!!
