Are you buying the GS8?

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

I really want the S8. I had the Note 7 and had to go with the S7 edge, therefore I am on a 2 year contract. Wish Verizon could let me upgrade as the faulty note 7 was no fault of mine.

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

I think I am going to pre-order the samsung S8+. I had the note 7 and was forced to get a different phone and ended up with the LG V20. It was a great phone but just not up to the level of Samsung's in my opinion.
Of course it looks like Verizon has the lamest pre-order incentives. Does anyone know if they will do anything for previous note 7 users?
Also it says you can trade in your phone how does one go about doing that with a preorder? I am still under the payment plan so I need to pay off the lg v20. I am either going to pay what I owe on it and then sell it or maybe trade it in depending on what they will give me. The issue is I want to preorder and can't turn in the phone and be without a phone for a month.

I have always had the odd numbered Galaxy phones but due to me probably switching carriers this year, will move over to the even numbered Galaxy series. Won't know if it will be the regular S8 or the S8+ until I have the chance to handle both and make my decision based on feel.

V20 seems bulky to me. Even the S8+ is slightly smaller with a larger screen. Really trying to decide if i want the 8+ or standard. Find the V20 difficult to use with one hand and fear the same may be possible with the 8+...

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

It is definitely a pretty big phone but I liked having the little second screen at the top. I have pretty big hands/long fingers so it is not really an issue. I think the S8+ will be easier to use than the v20 though. The S8 screen is just as big though but I can't let myself not have the biggest screen haha. The note 7 was a lot easier to handle than the v20 though with the same size screen.

Note 8. Interested in what they do to differentiate. Well, spen obviously which I miss. Just hope it isn't as expensive as I fear it may be.

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

I would love to get one but not sure of I can stretch to that kind of money.

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Nope.
My Galaxy S7 with free 256GB SD card is still working great.

Now that everything is official (no surprise, they're similar to the leaks), does the Galaxy S8 impress you to the point where it justifies the price?

Let us know below and why! ;)

I'm going to wait for the S9 to see how the new chipsets do and how the new screen sizes work in real world.

I am not buying. Only posting this to enter the giveaway.

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Not yet. I need to see some reviews first and see the device in person. My S7 is working great, so no immediate need or desire to upgrade.

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Girlfriend is switching from iPhone to get an android phone and I don't see why I would recommend S8 over G6. The dual rear cameras on the G6 are awesome. I find it hard to believe Samsung is launching a flagship phone with only a single rear camera. I used to have Samsung phones but switched to LG (V20 currently) when they stopped offering removable battery.

Yeah we got royally screwed with that

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

Since the price is not ridiculous like rumored, yeah!

Will suggest you wait for more reviews on G6's battery life first. If there is a reason not to choose G6, that could be one?

Well the 300 extra mAh sound better on the G6

Re: Are you buying the Samsung Galaxy S8?

a couple of months ago I was all about upgrading my S7Edge to the S8. However, after it took till mid-Feb 2017 for Samsung to release Android Nougat I had a change of heart. I love my S7Edge and have almost no complaints about it. My only real complaint I already listed. I really like that Google's phones get any security updates or new OS updates right away. If Samsung was much much faster with getting these updates out i'd probably stay with samsung. I made the decision not to long ago that I wouldn't upgrade to the S8 and I will look to switch to the Pixel 2. I would've switched and bought an OG Pixel had it come water-resistant and on T-Mobile's network. I'm excited to see what the Pixel 2 will look like.
