I understand there is no Dell Streak 7 forums, so I am just asking here...
Is anyone getting a Dell Streak 7?

I think I am, I have no idea what is wrong with the resolution, does it make reading on it impossible? Anyone ever try this thing out?

You can get the tab for $50 more on contract. Look at them side by side. I think you will choose the tab.

The resolution is the same as your phone, just blown up to 7".

With the Tab's higher resolution, text and graphics will be sharper. It will be easier to read text when browsing a website.

The battery on the Streak doesn't compare to the Tab. I have the Tab and it lasts me all day under heavy use. I unplugged it 17 hours ago and still have 30% battery. The Tab is the only android device I've been able to use without worrying about the battery.

Those are two of the main reasons Im not getting the Streak. I just bought my Galaxy Tab and love it, but I will probably exchange it for the LG G-Tablet when it releases.

Hmmm is there any release date for the LG G Tablet? I would really like to know about pricing for that thing.

Things got interesting folks, it seems that the Dell Streak 7 has some hidden phone options, still changing your minds?

The steak 7 is the best bet of all systems. The galaxy tab has higher resolution but its clunky and slow, it has the internals of the galaxy s. The Streak has a better future with updates and its blazing fast. Besides a tablet or slate shouldn't cost more than $300 they are basically toys and if you spend $699 for a xoom or a LG you are nuts.

If the G-Slate costs as much as the Xoom with contract then I will just go with the Streak 7, it just looks better, the screen is totally fine, it only matters if text is blurry and unreadable, that's when you can complain about the resolution. Still hoping the G Slate doesn't cost us an arm and a leg.

I have a Streak currently, and I can't imagine only upgading to a 7" screen. The 5" streak fits my daily needs, fits in my pocket, and fit nicely in my budget.

I could see myself getting a 10" tablet and keep it by the couch, as it would be a lot less clunky than a laptop or netbook while watching TV with the Mrs. As it stands, though, I have no plans yet.

I got my Streak 7 on Friday. It's significantly and noticably faster than the Samsung, but as mentioned the screen on the Tab seems a little better.

The feel of the device is great, and I love it.

How is the screen? A lot of reviews said it was terrible and reading text I'd an eye sore, I don't believe that for a second but I want an opinion of someone who actually wanted to enjoy the device in the first place.

Honestly, it's great. The viewing angle isn't quite as good as the Tab, but it really doesn't bother me at all. I have read a whole book in the nook software since I got the device Friday night. Text is clear, no issues. Same goes for watching mp4's.

I really think this device is a steal... the speed is the thing I notice compared to other tablets, including the iCrap.

This is my first Android device, having had company supplied Blackberries and personal Windows Mobile devices for the past decade. I dislike Google as a company, but truly am impressed with the Android OS.

I really love this tablet... For me the size is perfect, and with the Teamviewer client, I can access my primary server here at the house and do anything I want that I used to have to go into my office for. Sure, processing photos in Lightroom I like to sit at my machine and dual montiors, but the rest of the time, I can see that I won't be using my desktop or laptop again, because the Streak really rocks.

Only complaint, is that they used this stupid connector instead of a standard USB. Minor irritation...

No surprise there, Samsung did it too, Apple of course.... but the weirdest tablet is the G Slate by T-Mobile and LG. It has two connectors, one for charging and one for data transfer, real weird

I bought the Dell Streak 7 for the full price after playing with it.The Samsung Galaxy Tab Can't compare to the Dell Streak 7 except for the graphics and that only matters for games..This thing is way faster than the Galaxy Tab.This is the perfect tab to buy. It's very portable too.The Xoom is overpriced so i will be wasting any money on it.Just can't wait to get Honeycomb 3.0 on my Dell Streak !!! :_)

You sound happy, but I would've held out a little longer to see how the G Slate and Galaxy Tab 10.1 shape up.

If i get a another tablet it will be a 10inch & it will most likely be the Toshiba..has the same specs as the Xoom & will cost less. The Galaxy tab 10.1 has no Sd card slot or Hdmi port...ouch!
