Are you going to buy a Nexus 6?

Will you be purchasing a Nexus 6?

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

I probably will grab the Nexus 6,at some point. I have preordered the Note 4 and wanna give it a try. This will be the first Nexus I didn't get immediately since the Nexus 7, but the Note 4 looks pretty sweet. Gonna give it a couple of weeks to see if Touchwiz has me pulling out my hair. Thank God for 20 day return policies.

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

I've been trying to decide between the N6 and the Note 4. This would have been my first Nexus. I love the size of both phones and their specs are almost identical. I could live with no removable battery and micro sd. It's the camera that's hard to accept on the N6.

The price of the N6 is just too high to justify giving up the top of the line camera in the Note 4.

However, I'm still undecided. I might wait until I can evaluate them side by side.

How do you know the camera won't be comparable in the nexus 6?

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

I'm still on the fence. I was 50/50 about the size even before todays launch.

I've had an N4 and N5, and I've never truly considered them flagship devices. But the 6 is different now. It's clearly putting itself in the market segment to compete against other flagships. So the associated price increase now needs to be weighed against other phones in the same tier, and whether the pros/cons outweigh them.
But... Wha? The n5 was definitely a flagship when it came out except for the battery. What has changed other than newer specs and screen size?

Depends on the photo quality. If the camera is good then I will get this phone.

Isn't this camera just the Moto X 2014 camera + OIS?
That camera gets horrendous reviews and I don't see OIS making it that much better.

The software is what kills Moto. The sensor is the same used in devices like the g2, which would still be a step up from previous nexus devices. I'll hold judgement until reviews are out

No Knox, loads of Roms and kernels from the great devs at XDA. Its a no brainer for me, an N6. The N4 is OK if you want a stylus but the dev support from here beats that for me. Plus the fact the N4 in the UK is £200 more expensive than the N6.

Haven't heard any mention of price.

Gonna wait for some reviews and will play with it at Bestbuy. Still unsure what to think of this device. Definitely will go with Nexus 6, Note 4 or Iphone 6+

If it supports the Moto Voice always listening feature, notifications, and the wake up just by lifting the phone. Additionally, if the camera really delivers this time. Oh, and the battery life needs to be REALLY good. At this price, it needs to deliver a premium experience. Samsung, LG, Apple, all do.

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

People that are complaining about the price need to see how top of the line the specs are on this phone. It bests just about everything available now aside from the Note 4. And even then it's basically on par. Plus you get the added bonus of not dealing with TouchWiz. I'm a little let down by the price, especially since I'd love to get a Nexus 9, too, but I won't be able to afford it if I'm forking out $699 for the 64gb. But those are the breaks, and the only reason I'd like it to be cheaper is so I can have all the Nexus. I feel like this phone is deserving of the price. The 6 Plus at 64gb of storage is another $150 and I didn't hear a whole lot of Apple fans freaking out at that price. If you want the best Google has to offer, I have no issue paying for the best. And this is exactly what I want. Take my damn money, Google.

*Side note: it will be available through Motorola. Apply for their credit and pay it off monthly. That's my plan, at least.

That's something I forgot to add in my post. It can't cut corners or have major glaring issues. At that price, you have to expect near perfect premium quality. I hope they deliver.

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

Without a doubt. If the published specs on the Motorola site are correct, and this phone really does support Verizon CDMA and LTE bands on the unlocked, direct-from-Google edition, I'm pre-ordering the second I can. Sounds like someone finally put Big Red in their place! I'll miss Active Display and Touchless Control on my Droid MAXX (Developer Edition, naturally), but that's all I'll miss. Can't wait!

Yeah, I'll be buying. I get a nexus every year. Little pricey but I'll suck it up and pay. 😓 Man that thing is big.

Yeah, tech is the weakest part of my life, other than cars.

the iphone 6+ and Note 4 will have a significantly better camera. I guess it depends what's more important to you - premium features or the nexus experience which is a premium feature in and of itself.

Only if Verizon is etched into the screen

I'm thinking the camera and battery on the iPhone 6 Plus will be eons better than the Nexus 6 but I'll wait for the reviews.

lol. but in all seriousness, Verizon has been surprisingly good about only putting logos on the back of phones now, at least the ones I've had and seen.

Re: Now that it's announced, will you be buying?

I was really hoping it wouldn't be a phablet :-\

For guys it might not be a big deal but for us girls with much smaller hands, the size is definitely a deal breaker. I hope the rumors of the smaller device are true. It is true that the price is not bad at all compared to the specs that the phone is packing!

Sigh :'(
