The point I am trying to make too other than it being so darn unreliable with crappy range is, what is it going to offer you that 4G can't? 4G can stream any video at max quality without any problems. VoiP works great, downloads are fast. Really, what else does a user expect do do on a faster connection on a mobile device?
Yeah, that's a very fair point unfortunately...

What are folks guessing the price of the P5 will be? With a slower chip and no triple camera set up I'm thinking it's going to have to be $650 or less to sell a decent number of units.

I’m hearing $699 from various tech sites and you tube channels. Nothing is for sure yet but that sounds about right to me.

Personally I won't consider it if they ditch face unlock. I love it. Mask wearing poses a challenge, sure. But overall it's just so much cleaner and faster for me personally. And I know it's a really subjective thing. Ideally they would have both, like LG did.

Only reason I am even considering anything at this point is the truly subpar battery life on the 4. If not for that I wouldn't even think about upgrading for a while. Other than battery I've been nothing but happy with this phone. It's truly the best phone I've had. And I haven't needed to hard reset it even once since picking it up last year.

Not sure if I will. Depending on the size and battery honestly. I have the 4XL and while there's a lot I like there's things I don't, particularly the size is a little big for me. I picked up an S20 a few weeks ago and I've actually been very happy with it. The size is almost perfect and I got a better screen almost the same size in much smaller package.

I wish there was a way to setup an alternate look like one normal and one with a mask so it'd work both ways on the Pixel 4

I got the 4a yesterday and i certainly can't see the 5 being twice as good.

I had a 3a and would get a 4a, but no wireless charging is a deal breaker for me. I'll be checking out the P5 when it is released.

Maybe there will be some surprising, exciting new feature(s) with the P5 that we don't know about yet but the way it looks now the P5 is so...blah. Yes, there's 5G and a slight bump in storage, ram, and battery. I know those things are important but that's not particularly exciting or at all innovative.
At least with the 4/4xl Google tried some things that had never been done in the Pixel line before i.e. Face unlock, 90hz screen, telephoto lens, Soli...OK so Soli was not particularly useful but they tried and the other three work well.
To me the P5 looks like they aren't really trying. Disappointing.

I put my pixel 4xl 64gb clearly white for sell on swappa for 500$ and it sold within 20/30 mins of me posting it. I was very surprised it sold so quickly. I wanted to post it because typically it takes 2/3 listings for it to sell at least from my previous experience selling pixel phones. So I wiped the pixel 4xl and just finally finished setting up my spare parts phone (pixel 3a) which I'll use for the next couple of weeks until the p5 launches. I'm looking forward to a bigger battery, more effecient 765g cpu (yes slower than the 855, but will still be fast and get even better battery), ultra wife angle camera, 8gb of ram and 128gb of storage. Oh and excited on getting the finger print scanner back. I'm really enjoying the finger print scanner the pixel 3a has i forgot how convenient and fast it is.

Oh well I can't believe you sold your Pixel 4 XL. I mean for me, I love my wide angle lens for my selfie camera. I know that on the internet forums a lot of people are complaining about the Pixel 5's lack of specs. Well I just have to say what happens when it actually does come out. I don't particularly think the back looks attractive though. I wish I would have done with the concept image.

Well the P4 doesn't have the p3's front facing camera and for the back I was thinking about it and I'm going to Dbrand it.

On another note I have not used a smaller phone in forever and boy I'm enjoying using the pixel 3a right now. I think I might stick to smaller phones, as long as the battery is good and as long as they aren't too small.

Well that's great for you! I mean for me, the beauty of a bigger screen and the media consumption and get a YouTube! Lol but I hear what you mean. I know that the Pixel 4 is in the new Pixel 5 is what I have and wide angle selfie camera. Most phones don't. That's why I love my 3XL! I mean now with that being said, like I said, we will all have to see what the p5 is all about! I'm not trying to pass any judgment calls until anything comes out you know what I mean?

Oh yeah for sure and I didn't expect the P4 xl to sell so quick lol. Either way worse comes to worse I can stick with the p3's for now and actually enjoying this new form factor.

Oh yeah dude, for sure, absolutely! I mean you might enjoy the smaller form factor with the screen... I just love the biggest screen for YouTube like I said, but everyone's different. Pixel 3A is a great great phone! I'm shock that you're 4 XL sold as quickly as it did on swappa.com considering how much people dislike/hate the battery on it that's for sure! Lol.

And it sold for $515. Btw I think the complains in regards to the battery were more towards the smaller pixel 4 and not the larger pixel 4 xl. Battery for me was great and very similar to the pixel 3 xl slightly better.

Yes you are right. The smaller 4, not the XL. Yep yep, $515 is a great price for it at the end of the day! That's great!

Yeah excited and it was the 64gb not 128gb. I put it more on the higher end and I figured to try selling it now as it gets harder to always sell a device when a new gen launches at least for the amount of $ you want.
