I had a 3a and would get a 4a, but no wireless charging is a deal breaker for me. I'll be checking out the P5 when it is released.
I've had phones with wireless charging but never used it. I can appreciate that some people do though.

You know, must agree. My Pixel 3 XLis more than cable of wireless charging! I've never once used wireless charging on my phone though. Why not? Well, number one, wireless charging is slower than wired charging with the factory power brick. Number two, when you're charging your phone usually you use it while it's charging. That's really inconvenient and hard to do when it's charging on a flat surface. Now granted you could have a kickstand wireless charger at home like the pixel stand but even then it's stationary. I find that wireless charge is more like the honeymoon stage of life it's more of a novelty than necessity. Maybe that's just me, I know that there are a lot of tech heads here that do love wireless charging! For them, that's great!

Not for me I prefer wireless because I have a stand on my desk and it sits there facing me while I work and listen to music, youtube, netflix etc. Then at night I place it on my second pixel stand in my room when I got sleep and acts as a cool little clock while playing either a podcast/relaxing music to put me to sleep. I like the ease of just placing it on the stand. If I'm in a rush to go somewhere and I'm low on juice then I'll hook it up to a type x cable to get the most juice possible but I like using both all depends on what I'm up too. I'll tell you if the P5 does not have wireless charging I'll be bummed out. I'm already missing it while I'm using the pixel 3a spare phone I have since I just sold my pixel 4 xl. Sigh.

Yeah, dude, I can understand you. Like I said there is a business case to be made for wireless charging with specifically charging stand/pixel stands. I've never tried to use a charging stand I used to have a Samsung Galaxy charging pad which really sucked. But never charging stand. I mean sure I know the pixel stand turns the pixel phone into a great Google Assistant alarm clock lol I just never had the need for one. I did research it on swapa and eBay for a pixel stand, but years after the Pixel 3's debut alongside with the pixel stand, it's still selling for at least 70 bucks which is outrageous to me. You are right though there is an awesome use case for it like you said so good for you.

I love my P4XL. Simplicity, Outstanding photos and updates. Phone is still smooth as first day. Don't really know what I'm going to do about the P5. As it stands right now, I'm not too thrilled about what I'm reading but we won't know until the Google announcement. Tried out the Note 20U for a few days but just sent it back.

Yep, I must agree. My Pixel 3 XL has been perfect since day one. I like the renderings of the Pixel 5 but the leaked images now, it looks identical to the Pixel 4A.

Thank you. I mean, I want to like / love the phone, but it looks too too similar to the 4A. The prototype renderings of the Pixel 5 looked awesome.
Yeah. Don't understand why Google can't just make a slam dunk Pixel and knock it out the park. Either way, if there are some upgrades, I'll probably bite but just not sure as of right now

I just read an article by Ron Amadeo, ars Technica, about the Pixel 5. "Rumor: Pixel 5 is slower than the Pixel 4, has the same camera hardware as the Pixel 2. For what it's worth.

As for what I've read, the Pixel 5 is going to have the same camera sensor as every other pixel; it's not any worse than any other pixel. So, it'll have the same pixel camera software, so no need to worry about that aspect of things.

Yeah dude I hear you! I mean as Sundar pichai once said, hardware is hard to design by itself! Again however, the prototype images of the pixel 5 looked awesome. Now it just looks like a pixel for a twin brother. Not saying it's a bad thing but there's nothing stylistically cool about it in my opinion. I'm not sure why Google can't do that either. I'm not saying I'm not going to consider the Pixel 5, but we will all have to heavily study it. Google knows that The phones will be under such scrutiny as it is! Lol

That was definitely funky and different. I would have liked to see something like that. Different
Yes, exactly, something different. That's what Google's pixeline is always stood for. Even the Nexus line was something different yet creative. Every other smartphone such as iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, xiaomi, And finally oppo, they all fall in the same design trends. They all wind up copying each other which gets boring. Nothing's new as far as design is concerned.

I have a Pixel Stand - phone on it at night and off in the morning - the phone and I are both happy and charged -

Yup, couldn't have said it any better
