Are you going to rock it naked? Or add protection?

Can yall ads links for the cases and screen protectors you're ordering, and also if there's any promotional codes for them... Thanks!

I don't rock my devices, nor are they naked, but I'm not planning to use a case or a screen protector.

I did find with my S8+ that the unprotected rear glass (but not the front) acquired several micro-scratches. They're invisible unless I look for them carefully under direct bright light, so I don't care much. But my new policy is not to put my phone anywhere but a hand, clean and empty pocket, mount, charging pad, soft coaster, bed, or towel.

I'm definitely a minimalist when it comes to phone protection. I use the clearest, slimmest case I can typically get away with. I rock my phones naked occasionally and haven't ever really been a fan of screen protection, but I feel like this will be the first phone I'll add a tempered glass layer to. I'll still rock a simple, clear case (IE Spigen) but due to the curved glass and cost of these things nowadays, I see myself ordering a tempered screen protector before mine gets delivered.
I did drop my N7 a handful of times in the few months of ownership and it cartwheeled hard a few times. And it didn't even leave a mark! Dumb luck I suppose...

I never had any luck with the screen protector on the Note 7 and have not even tried it on the S7E. I have dropped my S7 a number of times and thankfully no scratches even. I am not even going to attempt a screen protector for my Note 8. I too only use the clear thin cases.

afraid to ask, but what screen protectors works best? Pros/Cons of each? I never used SP's in the past, but i wind up getting scratches. advise welcome. advice on pairing with case as well

I just finished putting on the Spigen Neo Flex screen protector on. Watched the how to video and it was a fairly painless application. I've pretty much always used the film protectors vs the tempered glass but I may wait and see if something better comes out that people are happy with. There is definitely that "orange peel" surface to the protector that you can see.

do those skins offer drop protection or just against scratches?

Tempered glass screen protectors with adhesive over the whole panel are rare. The ones that are available right now only have adhesive on the edges so they won't last for too long. Your best bet right now is Spigen's wet install or Tech 21's film screen protector.

Skins are only meant for scratch protection, they will not provide any drop protection.

I have a case that I bought from Amazon that's pretty slick. I did get a screen protector from Verizon against my better judgement (because I never like them and they are a waste of money), but nonetheless I bought one. I took the screen protector back after the first day. I just couldn't do it. Funny thing is that my Note 8 looks just like my Note 7 setup. I mean almost identical.

I can understand why some of you want to put a case on yours, but honestly after mine arrived and I've used it for the better part of the last 5 hours I can not understand why anyone would want to put a case on it!

All it takes is one drop and you'll understand why, these are very fragile phones that are made of glass

Lil bit of both? Putting a skinomi total protection film on it for the whole case, then hoping to set up a rhinoshield crash guard.

I have two cases. One with magnetic slot for driving. One slim for everyday driving. I did order screen protector and im thinking of a skin wrap. I probably wont need the screen protector but it was bundle package. I like slim cases but the clear ones get oily and slippery fast.
