Are you going to rock it naked? Or add protection?

I've been eyeing that case. Was on the fence because I just wasn't sure it was going to be thin enough. Going to pull the trigger now.

You guys should go with the Elago case on Amazon. It's cheaper and better with in my opinion

Gotta have some protection. Phones are too expensive and pretty to get all dinged up from drops on the concrete etc. But I agree, I prefer the minimalist approach. Plus bulky cases can trap heat on your device and that can ruin batteries and performance over time if your device is running too hot regularly.
I use a clear Rinke case that I peeled the back off to turn it into a strictly bumper case. Minimal coverage but still protects the edges, corners, and back against drops. I still have the original screen cover on my v20 to protect the front screen.
This set up does an excellent job. I'll go back to my UAG case when the weather gets cooler.

I usually go naked but love the Alcantara case that I use sometimes on my S8+. So I pre-ordered it from the Shop Samsung app using the discount code they sent me when registering my N8. It's more expensive than others but so worth it.

So I went to best buy just now to see what they have in stock. Pretty nice since the phone hasn't been really released yet. Anyways, ended up with the rugged Samsung oem case. We took out a quick charger to try it on to see since Samsung said it won't work, and it charged my phone just fine in the case! Pretty happy about that! Tested it for about ten minutes or so while I chatted.

Samsung Alcatara thin case. No need for screen protectors...we have GG5. my v20 after the return of note 7 had no scratches and I abused the phone daily without protection.

I'm considering the Alcantara case but was concerned about extra lint in pockets due to it being fabric. Any issues? I assume it doesn't work with the wireless charger?

Naaaaayyyyy-kidddddddd. The last time I broke a phone was the HTC Thunderbolt (remember when that was modern? LOL) in May 2011, and insurance took care of it just fine. I briefly had a case in the Note 3 because I thought I should, but no, I can't imagine using one ever again.

The S6 edge+ was what really nailed it down. It felt like I want just holding advanced industrial design, but ART. The Note 8 even more so. I both respect and enjoy it too much to hide it. Not that I don't appreciate the pleasures and practicalities of well- designed cases in theory, and I know my wife loves how her wallet case makes her whole life easier to manage... but me, I guess I'm more of a phone hedonist. LOL

And if I'm being honest, I love that my 6 edge+ was and the Note 8 is such a conversation starter. Everyone wants to touch it. Like a baby or something. "Can I hold it?" LOL Even before they get a chance to really dive into the screen, they gasp just holding it in their hands. So do I, every time. A few bucks a month in insurance is a small price to pay for this much delight.

I have the Alcantara for the S8+ and no issues with lint or it sticking to your pocket when you pull out your phone. Great case and I pre-ordered one for the N8 with the discount code from the Shop Samsung app. It also works fine in the wireless charger, Samsung Pay and with the Dex dock.

I use to go naked, but these all glass phones are slick, slick and slick. I am using a Spigen Tough Armor case or a NeoHybid case. I have both in Gunmetal. I would be interested in a tempered glass screen protector too, if I found one I liked.

Case, no screen protector... That was enough for the s8... But Wifey says no more cases tho

I have GREAT third party insurance. So I usually go naked at home and dressed in the streets. Super thin clear case and I'm good to go.

I have the Lumion Gardien case. I was skeptical because it was so cheap on Amazon but it turned to be a really good case. Haven't found anything wrong with it yet.

I struggled finding a case for the s8 plus and finally stuck with the uag plasma. For the note 8, without hesitation got a uag plasma again. Did not disappoint

I lean towards the slim cases. Anyways phone in a case can be damaged if dropped. I just want a better grip in my hands and if I set it down somewhere that it won't slid off onto the floor.
I don't like the feeling of setting a glass back phone down on a hard surface, either.

Trap heat? You are reaching. My UAG cases tend to disagree....
