Are you gonna buy it?

I'm in w the black 128 XL..been using Verizon Motorola for years.. resisting the temptation of the Moto Z Force...Pixel from the Google Store and Project Fi!

About 85% sure I'll be ordering mine this week. The lack of Raise To Wake, Double Tap to Wake, true ambient display or always on display is holding me back still. I love Always On Display on my s7 and when it gets updated to show 3rd party notifications it will be perfect so I'd miss that sorely with the Pixel. Still considering the iPhone 7 plus as I've not had an iPhone since the 6plus but even just playing around with my wife's 7 plus I quickly got bored so I'm swayed to the Pixel Xl.

According to many on these threads I will be throwing my money away on a non-Samsung Pixel.

Given my wife's propensity for pictures and her need for the camera to be really good I am going to waste even more money on the 128 version. I have discussed with her cloud but she want to immediately go through and show. Not for me to argue with her. Figure best of both worlds here.

She is coming from an iPhone5 (not S) and after three replaced batteries I am done with it and she is done with the camera and lack of storage. So this is the basis of what she is coming from. Pretty much anything will be an upgrade. LOL!

Things that are of no bother to us: Waterproofing. None of our phones had it and we do not work jobs that require it. Wireless charging isn't a consideration as we keep phones a long time and heat = battery abuse. These batteries need to last a long while. Expandable storage and cloud should alleviate any concern as we don't have a bunch of games or videos on the phone.

Things that are drawing us to it. Notification light (her). Software updates (me). HTC build (me). Looks like an iPhone (her). Bigger AMOLED screen for hopefully better outdoor visibility. More configuration options (both of us). Something that goes into a case better and feels good in her hands (so blocky design is good).

I will be buying late November early December to give Google a month to see how they respond to "issue" that come up. I am closely watching the Blue Tooth and AOD type.

The specs are superb but the pricing is a dampener. It is time Google takes advantage of the failure of Galaxy Note.

Good decision making by you, and by that I mean going 128 because she wants the pics local.

If you forced her to the cloud, just one time there was a delay in a pic coming up, BOOM, I told you so for years to come.

It only takes once....

Already have an installment agreement on T-Mobile. If I could get it through TMo I definitely would. But for now gotta hold off.

I'm interested, but not actively looking for a phone right now. Part of me wants to wait to see how folks feel about it after a few months. Google clearly put a lot of thought and resources into this, but it's still v1. Google usually seems to do much better w/version 1.1 or even v2.

That said, if one fell into my lap I'd give it a fair shot :)

I was very tempted, tested it in store, if I win it, I would be very happy. Buying it, I don't really see why to pay so much money for what I really need. Went now for the Moto Z Play and I am very happy with it.
