Are you gonna buy it?

Earbuds! Now people are reaching. If you're reaching that far in to things to complain about, just leave the Pixel forums. You already know you're not going to buy the phone so to squabble over something like earbuds should be a sign for you to hit the eject button -_-

I would of course sell the HTC to get the Pixel..Not everybody wants to have two phones, or can afford two phones. I buy two to three phones a year normally, but I never keep more than one at home. I sell all other devices.
I also have other earbuds, so I am not depending on the Pixel. It is just unfortunate and a bad choice from Google that they do not include earbuds.
Remember, they want to play in the same league as Apple..

The first thing you should do with the free Apple earbuds is throw them in the garbage with the rest of the trash.

Yea I'm going to buy it. Going for the Pixel XL 128gb Quite Black when I get back from Europe.

Can't wait to get rid of my S6 Edge.

These phones look like mid-tier phones and probably should have been priced that way. Most Nexus users are people who wanted great hardware at an affordable price. This change in pricing will only alienate old users from buying newer models. So they are basically trying to fish premium phone users. I don't think it will work at least with this iteration. It doesn't add enough features or look the part to be on par with Samsung and iPhone premium devices. So its vanilla android and nothing great besides a camera and unlimited photo space?

I feel people are only paying for the G on the back of the device. I somehow feel just buying this device is cheating yourself.

I completely agree! Seriously, I think Google have really dropped the ball on this one. Here in Australia, the 128GB version is more expensive than either the Note 7 was our the new iPhone.

It is simply too little for the asking price. No waterproofing, no WOW factor like iris scanner or static home button, dual camera lens etc. The design is poor. It seriously looks like it's a couple of years old especially with those large top and bottom bezels. It didn't even have OIS but rather a better version of EIS.

The camera is awesome apparently, the unlimited full res. photos and videos is excellent, the built in customer support is fantastic, it's lightning quick with the 821 processor and of course Google assistant built into the home screen.

A better design and some more hardware features would have made this phone.

I thought the Pixel does have water resistance. Not water proof mind you but IP57 certified which is pretty good for accidental water exposure.
Google Pixel & Pixel XL Aren't Waterproof But are IP53 Rated | Androidheadlines.com
For me is it has enough features for me to buy. Great great camera, Nougat 7.1 with Google assistant fast processor. The user experience should be fantastic on this phone.

It's IP53, which is better than nothing, but is almost nothing in terms of water resistance.

Lifeproof is going to make a case for this. So at least there are options at the back end.

I was correcting the statement that it was IP57. It's only IP53. For the money, and compared to comparably-priced phones, which offer IP67 and IP68 protection, the Pixel should have offered a higher IP rating.

The Pixel looks to be the best smartphone on the market for me. I love everything about it. But sadly, I'm not really into the latest and greatest smartphones anymore. I have a cheap Android device at the moment and it has actually met all of my needs. But, if I were in the market for a flagship device, the Pixel is the one that I would get hands down.

It looks like the best smartphone to me, too. Which is why I picked one up. I'm hoping for something that will last me a year-ish like my iPhone 6s Plus has. What are you using these days?

you're right it is not as good as the IP68 waterproofing like the Note 7. But it will at least it will help with accidental spills and dunkings.

lol, friend of mine literally just sent me a picture of his new LG Phoenix 2. How are you liking yours?
I don't mind if. Kind of an interesting experiment to see if it handles or can handle everything I need it to. Its been a very different experience than what I'm used to.
