They have already, it's the 2014 MOTO X.

Ridiculous to disable those things, ever. Everything stays on, always, on my phone.
And battery life still fine.

Great feedback thanks! I thought battery would be fine - until reading these comments. My N5 is definitely not lasting beyond 4pm with moderate use. If I get the same results as nerdtopper, I'll be happy. Has anyone noticed if making calls takes a heavy toll on battery life? I'm one of those people that still makes calls throughout the day!

I remember when the EVO screen used to be huge. Man times have changed
4.3 was a MONSTER back then.... I remember walking out of best buy with one.... Felt like I had this freaking brick in my hands....
With Steve Jobs saying 3.5 was the perfect size and they would never make a bigger iPhone....
As always, my mileage may vary. I want the battery to tolerate a travel day, with maybe a movie on the plane, etc. When you say "slightly" better, can you be more specific? Thanks. The Turbos battery life was better but only slightly in my opinion. I think the trade off in battery life is worth it to gain a much larger screen.
Do you really mean that? I disagree.

I absolutely love mine. I had been waiting for the Note 4 to come out, my upgrade was eligible in June from AT&T. I wanted a phablet as my last two phones were the Samsung Galaxies S3 and S4. Right before the Note 4 came out I started reading about the Nexus 6. I decided to hold off on the Note 4 as I was feeling burnt out on Touchwiz and Samsung in general. I really didn't need a phablet with all those bells and whistles--the S pen, heart rate detector, etc etc.
The Nexus 6 has exactly what I wanted. I know I bitched the loudest about bloat from AT&T and the death star logo on the back...but for some strange reason, there was no bloat on my phone! The usual suite of AT&T crap was not on there! There's a few ringtones, but big deal. And the logo on the back wasn't so obnoxious after all! Even the camera which everyone bitched about is more than adequate for me. The battery holds up longer than my S4 ever did and there is no lag at all. Yeppirs, my happy *** loves dis phone!!

In my experience with the Turbo, I found that I could deplete the battery on a heavy day of use, where I couldn't do so with the IPhone 6+ or Galaxy Note 4. The Turbo had solid stand by time and Active Notifications helps to reduce on screen time to save battery life. But the Turbo definitely didn't stand out to me as a stamina champion. I haven't had the Nexus 6 long enough to put it through its paces, but so far it would probably compare to the S5 or G3 in terms of battery longevity. Which for me, is good enough since I rarely stray far from a charger on a typical day.As always, my mileage may vary. Gsam tells me I'm averaging 25 hours with 5:20 of screen on timeAs always, my mileage may vary. I want the battery to tolerate a travel day, with maybe a movie on the plane, etc. When you say "slightly" better, can you be more specific? Thanks.
