Are you still happy with the g4?

I may be being a bit dumb here... but isn't that a bit like saying... I like my PC, but I'm gonna trade it in for another PC to see if I prefer Windows on that PC, and if I do like Windows then I'm gonna get the next best PC that comes out?

Sorta.. Both have Android but each have their own features... That's why i said ui not os.... Os is Android but ui is the extra stuff.. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I personally would just install a pen app to get the features you're after and personalise the phone that way, then you get knock code and pen?

I've never had an Android phone and this is one of the big draw features for me. Been stuck with iOS long enough now, so if you want proprietary with zero customisation... lol

I think you need to hear from the people that the 815 model... I'm not sure but I think you can achieve that by rooting?

I'm always looking at the newest devices. The Moto X pure is very enticing. I'm not a huge fan of Optimus UI, but this is a solid device all around.

It excels in all these areas. Battery least of which, but it gets me through the day.

This phone has put me off regular volume buttons for life. I cannot wrap my head around how useful rear volume buttons are. Have this phone for a month now and i have found no downside so far. Sometimes when i use my brother's phone it is soooo difficult and irritating to control the volume. I love it, and if anyone is doubting buying a G4 because of the volume, I say don't worry.

I have the T Mobile version running smooth as butter. Uninstall/Disabling everything I don't use helps tremendously. Limiting your widgets helps a lot. And Greenify is a must.

I have uninstalled quite a few Verizon apps. I tried using the bloatware tool from XDA but it wouldn't recognize my phone even with the LG drivers installed, oh well. I downloaded Greenify and will try that out. Thanks.

Usually I go crazy and sell it but like I said I'm keeping this for a long time.

Fixed all previous problems i had with rhe phone except the camera. Cannot get it to work consistently even in safemode. Despite the problems my real issue is with LGs customer service.Horrible.

Probably the worst lg phone I have used, the lag is ridiculous & the touch response is awful, to open any app I have to tap multiple times.. I have had the G2, G3 & now this piece of crap, by far the worst lg to date

Oh & I almost forgot the insanely annoying Bluetooth problems, I've never encountered a phone that will sync with the Bluetooth device & your able to control it via the BT device but the sound only comes from the phone..

It is awful. Had it since launch. Finally gave up. I just downgraded to my old G3 and am so happy. The G4 is an embarrassment of a flagship.

- Laggy always
- Unresponsive sometimes
- Overheats
- Instant camera never works
- Melt down temps when doing nothing
- Battery life is terrible
- Root and Nova did not help but made better

What else is there? Terrible. I love my G3. I'll wait for software update and see how it goes but wow.

Sorry your G4 crapped out on you. Although, I've really gotta say I think you got a dud. Mine runs quite smooth.

What are people calling lag? My phones seem smooth but are my standards lower?. I don't play games maybe these issues show up in that situation?
