Are you still happy with the g4?

T-MOBILE I have a replacement on the way we'll try that.

Well, after about a week of working flawlessly, I can no longer send photos that were taken with the phone. It worked earlier in the day, then I swapped out the battery later in the day and can no longer send photos.

Just did a factory reset and will not restore from the back up (other than contacts and photos) and re-setup the phone to see if it helps.

I will be going back to the iphone once the 6s plus is released. You can't beat the reliability of iOS. I'm sick of having to turn off features so I can have decent battery life, hate the laggy software, and the phone over heats like no other. For a "flagship" phone, it's a piece a of junk.

Funny about the iOS keyboard comments. I hate the iOS keyboard so bad. It's one of the reasons I came back to Android. The auto correct isn't bad but with no swipe, you have to peck out everything, I couldn't stand it. That and no symbols on long press made it a huge pain to use. Battery life was amazing on my iPhone6 though I'll give it that. That's really the only thing I like less on my G4, but it's just Android. They all have bad battery life compared to iPhone. I can get 4 to 5 hours sot on my G4, compared to 7+ on my iPhone.

Edit: thought I'd add that I don't really have any lag to speak of at all on my G4, and I've never felt it get more than the slightest bit warm. I'm very happy with the performance all around.

Best phone I've had since the Note2 and Palm Treo before that.

I'm not new to Android so I know how to set things up and what apps to avoid so I get the best performance and battery life. Newbies just need to do some research.

Plus my phone came with a free battery kit so I can swap in a fresh one if needed. I've been doing it that way since my Palm Treo.

not terribly happy with it currently. on my third g4. 1st one lagged, froze, rebooted constantly. 2nd one arrived with a blown speaker. 3rd...i just got today. i hope this one works out...

Love it so much I put it as my profile pic. Ha. Seriously though I really love the size after I was was worried about it being too big. It does get a little warm in game play. Other than that, it's great.

I just picked up a AT&T G4 on Friday. So far, I have to say the phone seems great. I am not experiencing any of the problems that some talk about here. After reading some of the complaints on this forum, I am happy to report that the phone seems really smooth and fast. I am not having any lag or touch screen issues yet.
I'm coming from a 2nd gen moto x, and the camera and battery life on the G4 is amazing in comparison to my old phone. I was a little worried about the size of the G4, but it's only a tad larger than my old moto x which surprised me. I love the extra screen real estate. I am also finding the LG skin on this pretty intuitive. I like having the extra buttons on the bottom. Also like the tabs on top in the settings menu. It took me a day to get used to, but I really like the power and volume buttons on the back.
If the phone continues to perform like this, I will be a happy G4 owner for a few years...

New device arrived.
T-Mobile 9/1/15 update is now onboard as well -> H81110n LMY470.
Working much better.
Maybe bad device before?
Liking it a lot more now. We'll see how it goes.

My G4 experience has also opened up my eyes to it all. I'm not dealing with carrier tampered devices anymore!
Same here .... I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile because I was sick of Verizon and their BS. When I switched, I got a Nexus 6 ... Grabbed the G4 because I have issues and need the latest and greatest LOL Only to find T-Mobile also has BS, not as much as Verizon, but BS nonetheless (ie tons of non-removable bloat, disabling features). So, I will be going with unlocked/carrier free devices from now on ... Got a Moto X Pure Edition on the way and will give the G4 to my wife.

G4'ed it!

Yup! I hear ya and the Motorola X PE is also on my radar as well. It going to work on all 4 carriers (minus their BLOAT!!) so that's sweet!

Only issues I'm having are the double tap to wake the phone and I'm having issues where the phone will mistake taps and it'll randomly open apps when I'm scrolling the app drawer.

For the scroll/tap issue, have you looked through the "scrolls being registered as taps" threads in the Common Issues and Solutions sticky?

For double tap wake issues, some have found that the latest software release making its way out solves this problem.

Now, after the T-Mobile 9/2015 H81110n update I still have some touch issues but GPS issues are new. GPS precision seems to get confused and is in turn confusing Google maps putting me on roads that I am not on (where that had not happened before on this or any other device). New feature. I'll keep an eye on that one. I made the recommended touch, motor, touch feedback time to Medium change so we'll see if that helps on the lingering scroll/tap confusion. I really only get that issue when it is in the car windshield mount and perfectly vertical. It's always something. Replacement phone seems to be working better with regard to heating issues and non-responsiveness. Since I changed software and phone hard to tell which it may have been.

I noticed this GPS problem today also. I have he H815 though. It seemed to get a little better as I went along but if I didn't know what was going on I'd be pissed.

Just got it today, and I must say after setting it up I'm very happy with this device. I have the h815 btw.

I was happy until AT&T put out an update to H81010l about a week ago...I get very little cell service in spots I was previously fine with this G4 now, and then when I lose the service, it more often than not won't pick the service back up again until I toggle airplane mode. Wtf, guiz.

I haven't tried the GPS these past few days; but that's a radio too, so I wonder if it's related. Despite being different carriers, they put out the updates at the same time. Mine's just an "l" and yours is an "n".

Please keep us updated on how yours fares.

Sorta.. Both have Android but each have their own features... That's why i said ui not os.... Os is Android but ui is the extra stuff.. Correct me if I'm wrong...

The reason why you chose lg g4 vs every other Android device out there. Lg has knock code. Note has the s pen feature

The reason I chose the g4 over the Note 5, (coming from Note 2) was that I can change the battery and that it came with a free battery and leather back plate, I read that the camera was excellent and was tired of the lag I had on my 3 yr old Note 2. Come to find out, the G4 is one of the best phones with no lag in my experience at all. I know some people have lag but not here so I am greatful on that. These are reasons I chose to have the G4 over the Note 5. Just my opinion.

My G4 started overheating again today for no reason. I've already factory reset twice. I'll buy a Nexus. I'm not scared.
