Are you still happy with the g4?

Still happy. Really do like the phone. But, i am looking at the new Nexus 5x becuase I've never had completely stock android. The g4 has been awesome though and ive dumped some money in it with back covers, an extra battery and charging dock so I'm not sure. May sound funny but i'm not sure i can leave the ir blaster. Lol..with 3 boys and a wife, i gotta be quick on the trigger.:)

I am looking for a charging Doc. Which one did you buy?

I got mine the day it came out and there are many things I like about it coming from several Samsung devices. But I have many issues with it and maybe I have a buggy device that needs replacing.
[*]Lag. Lots of lag. Especially after waking it up.
It freezes up completely at times. Sometimes I need to pull the battery.
I've lost many photos because it stopped recognizing the SD card and didn't switch to save to device.
Maybe 5 times now I've felt heat in my pocket only to pull the phone out and the flashlight is on. Not sure how it could unlock itself and turn on the flashlight from the notification menu.
I'm not crazy about the curved back any more. Nearly impossible to do anything with it while it's on the table.
Constantly loses connection with my car stereo while my Note 4 never did. Sometimes it will even play 2 different music apps at the same time but only 1 is open.

I wanted so much to like this phone because I wanted something different than the same Samsung phones I've been using. I would have got the LG G3 when it came out if it have an SD card and removable battery.
I might switch back to my Note 4 and get rid of it if I can't fix it.

Just curious, have you tried a factory reset. Worked wonders for me. Otherwise. I think you got a lemon.

What carrier are you with? Also, The LG G3 did in fact come with a SD card and removable battery.

PS: Factory reset your device. If that doesn't help, get rid of it and move on to something else.

I now have a extended battery that is comfortable and I am happy

Where abouts?

My g4 is getting laggy and freezes up daily now. Only 1 month old. Looking at getting the nexus 6p now.

Damn one month old phone, software gets laggy and you ready to just drop $600 on a new one. Wish I could roll like that.

I too am looking to get the 6P. My G4 gets laggy and freezy every month. It works beautifully after a reset then goes back to crap in a few weeks.

Have you gone through the steps that are noted here in the forums? I have done this and my phone is not laggy. This is my second G4 also and I'm on Verizon, the g4 that's supposed to have the most issues. I love the phone. It's fast, responsive and having a free extra battery is a plus.

Yes. I have tried everything. I got my first G4 on the first day they were available. I exchanged that one for the same lag and touch responsiveness issue. None of the so-called "fixes" have worked. I've been following the forums for months trying solutions. I love the phone when it's working right which makes the problem that much more frustrating.

Man, some of these posts are disappointing. The G4 just caught my eye as and I checked it out in the store and really liked it. I am waiting on the Droid phones to be announced but I felt like this would be the phone i'd go with. I didn't read through this whole topic but read a few pages. Seems like there are more people unhappy with the phone than happy with it. Guess I need to keep looking before making a decision.

It's the internet, what did you expect?

I won my g4, so I will just sell it and use that money along with what I sell my z3 for to get the nexus.
