I also forgot I use smart lock so when I'm in my vehicle or have my S3 on, I don't have to authenticate. Come to think of it, I hardly ever authenticate because my S3 is on me most of the day. Even when I sleep for sleep tracking.

Fingerprint scanner, tried the iris scanner, it's good and I'll probably use it in the future. Got smart lock working fine but turned it off because I just want to test the fingerprint scanner more, but it's been faultless to be fair and no issues at all with the position of it.
It's come on a long way since my Note 4 days when you had to swipe your finger, more than once most times!

I use the Iris, FP and pin, depends on the situation. By the way the FP while not in an ideal location is not as bad to use as it might seem with all the negative reviews about it's location.

I have iris, pattern and fingerprint set up and just use whichever one is more convenient at the time
