As the U Turns! HTC U11 Waiting Room!

They are giving you a 3.5mm adapter so you can use your existing headphones. However, they do promise excellent sound quality and noise cancellation with the provided headphones. So, I wouldn't worry a lot.

That is awesome! It sounds like a really good deal.

Oh I know, look at the terrible sales of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus...
LOL comparing Apple with HTC.
Apple can remove the screen from iPhone 8 and sell it separately and it will still sell. 😂

I completely agree with that 110%. But I also think it's an over generalization to say most people won't use it because it doesn't have one. I don't think that'll have any noticeable effect on their sales, one way or the other. Plus it comes with an adapter and good USB C headphones. At least they don't use their own proprietary charging port!

Re: As the U Turns! HTC 11 U Waiting Room!

I loved my HTC M7 except for the poor camera (purple background tint) and it seemed the subsequent models also had reported poor camera performance vrs the Samsung Galaxy models. If the HTC 11 U comes out with a good camera I'd definitely consider upgrading to that model. I think the S8 is just too fragile and has quality issues with their red tint screens. Unfortunately, I don't thin the 11 U will have wireless charging unless the back is made of glass or plastic.

The back of the U11 is indeed glass, but unfortunately it looks like it still won't have wireless charging.
Also, the U11 camera achieved a*DxOMark*score of 90 making it the highest rated smartphone in DxOMark history. Of course we still need to see how it fairs in real world testing, but it sure looks promising so far.

Re: As the U Turns! HTC 11 U Waiting Room!

Lame 3000mah battery, no headphone jack, big bezels, HTC will never learn.

The battery is in line with other flagships. I don't like the fact they got rid of the headphone jack, but I can live with it. I like bezels. I can't use the S8+ without a case because it has very small bezels. This phone seems to be a winner in my book.

So I'm going to cancel my order and wait for more reviews on it. I don't like being an early adopter with phones, I like knowing before hand what issues to expect. Also after a month or two, maybe I'll find one on Swappa for a better price or HTC will have another $100 off deal.

I agree with you. I wait at least 6-12 months before grabbing a phone. I like knowing what bugs/issues I may have to deal with before I pick it up.

I don't wait that long. I'll wait probably a month or so to see what the general consensus is on battery life and overall feel of the phone. If I feel the battery will do me justice I'll grab one, but if it's poor, I'll pass.

Sounds like a plan! I mostly wait for a price drop lool.

Also, does anyone know if the 11 has an LED notification light?

After buying a phone with no notification light I couldn't go back. That stupid light caused me anxiety lol
