AT&T 5G+ mid-band and the new Pixel Fold

As someone who stepped back to 4-whatever to save power, what is the benefit of this 5G+++++++++++ ;)

I mean I read the web, emails and text. The occasional short video or youtube. What does this new astounding G do for the ordinary, low-demand user - ME?

Well SPEED SPEED. For around here this is a major upgrade for 5G ATT

This is ATT MID-BAND 5G+
I get that part, but it's only usefull if you need it. I averaged around 200mb on 4g LTE+. I can stream 4k from my home network without issue. I could understand if you needed to constantly download GB+ files to your phone. Otherwise at this point I think it's more about bragging rights. Also my ping is about 1/3 of yours.

It's really about bandwidth.

Sure, the carriers all crow about speed, and there are some advantages if they can actually be realized. But it really has to do with network capacity. Especially these days with more and more devices taking up airwave space.

Even with the slower low-band frequencies, they can support more devices than the same channel when it was carrying the 3G signal.
