AT&T Galaxy S3 Possible Digitizer Problem

My Galaxy S3 had been broken-- the screen was badly cracked and the digitizer was broken-- for the past few months so I finally got it fixed last week. I picked up my phone from the phone repair place Friday. My phone was working splendidly until Saturday. That's when this problem started happening. My phone's screen will randomly go black. The phone still works, however, the screen doesn't seem to work.This is why I believe there is a problem with the digitizer.
More details on the problem

• The screen randomly goes black
• There is no rhyme or reason to when it goes black.
• Taking out the battery/putting it back in does not necessarily fix the problem.

Once it goes black, I can hit the power button on the side to put the phone to sleep, if I hit it again, I can see the screen normally. Now if I put in my password sometimes the screen will work fine, other times it immediately goes black. Other times it goes black even before I can put in my password.

It will do this for a while sometimes, other times it's fine after I unlock it. It is very random.

I tried doing a factory reset to see if that by any chance would fix it. Nope.

Actually right now my phone is doing fine. It hasn't been freaking out for the past 5 or so hours.

So my questions is: I this an easy fix? Can I do it myself? Or should I take my phone back to the repair place?
