AT&T: Galaxy S9/S9+ Official Pre-Order Thread

I just noticed that my estimated shipment dates have been removed too! I pre-ordered mine 3/2 109am. I better get something out of this cluster fawk.
 
How can it be backordered for people who pre ordered day 1 (some shortly after midnight)!!! That's ludicrous and makes zero sense. I bet they'll have black available tomorrow to buy.
I agree. I confirmed with my local store that they have them. Problem is now that my line upgrade has been highjacked by this preorder.

I'm so mad.
 
So does anyone know if there stores are getting any? Or are they backordered too

Edit just saw post above. Guess I'll try in the morning but I'm guessing they won't let me pick it up
 
I ordered mine on 3/2 at 0108. I am in the same situation as gogoplata1980. The local store is holding one for me, but my upgrade is held by the "preparing to ship" BS order.
 
I just used the "Chat" option on the order status page. I asked the agent to cancel my order. All day long I have been told that they (Support Agent and Supervisor, Ecommerce, Customer Loyalty and Supervisor) couldn't cancel my order. The Chat agent said she cancelled my order. I asked her to send me an email confirmation and she sent me an email. She said it would take some time to change on line. I have not seen the change yet but I have an email confirmation. fanofdean is correct, I was told at the store that I could not upgrade with the pending order.
 
I guess I should've called the store to see what they thought about the situation. I didn't think there would be anything they couldn't fix from there. Crazy if they don't let you pick up something you've already paid for
 
Absolutely infuriated at this point. How can we pre order an item minutes after midnight and now get our devices after people who are buying at the store. To make it worse we can't even buy at the store because of the pending order. This is complete BS.
 
Even then it makes no sense to me that a store couldn't cancel an order but the online chat can. I'm holding out hope I'll get one in the morning but not expecting it. Fwiw my chat person told me they would be able to cancel it at the store but that was this afternoon.

Was she able to do it cause it said back ordered before at that point? Cause from what I got with all the CSRs, it's just not like a button they can click on their computers
 
When she cancelled the order is was in "Preparing for shipment" status. "Back ordered" just showed up after she cancelled.

Maybe it was a department-wide memo that said cancelizations were allowed? Which opened up the CSRs to cancel it? Due to all the people that tried and couldn't do it earlier in the day, me included.
 
I just tried via chat and was told that she couldn't cancel it but the sales department could. However, they closed for the night at 12am and would re open at 8am est. She confirmed the store would be about to cancel the existing order. I'll talk to sales in the morning and see what they think.

That's what they told me too this morning but when I went they also couldn't cancel it and neither was the store, it's merely them trying to push the problem off their hands and to another department imo
 
Well it was too good to be true. Order status has returned to the same state as yesterday. It was not cancelled. Back to "Preparing to ship" status. No faith that it will be resolved any time soon.
 
Ridiculous. AT&T keeps telling me the store can take care of it, but I'm 100% certain they're just gonna look at me like I'm crazy and say they can't help me. Guess I'll give it a try anyway.
One thing for sure, I'm never ordering online from AT&T again.
 
I agree. I am going to send a text to the store representative that tried to help me yesterday. I am pretty sure that they can't cancel as they told me that yesterday. I agree with never ordering from AT&T again. I preordered my last two phones and received them 3 days early but this new crap is ridiculous.
