AT&T GS5 update - Just applied

So far, the gallery and photo app... there's a huge change in speed. The fingerprint sensor seems marginally better as well. I was super shocked to see AT&T post the update so quickly. Probably part of the new change with their expedited carrier testing (internal), but happy to see it this fast.

Update size is about 48mb, so not too big, but big enough to tweak some problem points.

NEW: Samsung stock keyboard's swype-esque keyboard is much much faster.

One more thing - Gear 2 Neo sync working much better.

I noticed a faster response in screen movement tracking, mainly the unlock and home screens. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems to be tracking movements more fluidly.

My battery life sucks after this update. Not sure why. I took phone off charger about 12:30 this morning and then at 5:30 its is down to 80%. all it did was site on night stand not being used and it drained that much. Granted email is being updated while I am sleeping.

I'm not so sure. During the install, the phone said it was optimizing 155 programs and several things seem faster and smoother afterwards.

I have not had any battery performance issues since installing it.

The UK S5 just received an update that improves the gallery and finger scanner.

That means it wiped the Dalvik cache I think. Maybe they identified a problem with the apk precompiler.
