AT&T HOX Update!!

if you cant get the OTA update to work, all i had to do was a full data reset and it popped right up when it rebooted... may as well do this instead using your PC to update. the PC method wipes the phone anyway ...

So, am I the only one who hasn't gotten the update yet? I'm rooted, would that effect it? I've been checking for the update for a few days now.

I'm in the same boat, rooted and no update. It's either live with the wifi problems rooted, or unroot and update.

I was rooted and still got the update and applied it. I didn't do anything after I rooted though such as uninstalling bloatware or custom roms.

Anyone figure out how to access the car dock settings? You are supposed to be able to use Pandora instead of Tune In after the update, but I can't find the location to access that setting. It's not in the car dock menu...

I definitely feel my phone being even faster and smoother when scrolling and launching apps. If Jelly Bean really makes it faster and smoother then it already wow. I feel like for the first time I have an android device that is as smooth and fast as the iPhone and windows phone 7 especially when it comes to loading apps and scrolling.... Love it so far!!!!!!

My Wifi still hangs onto last connection even after I'm far from a signal from that last connection...

Had to manually install the update, but have noticed an increase in memory, around 100~ MB. Makes everything run smoother.

How do I get this new update for my HTC ONE X from ATT?

go to settings, scroll down to AT&T software update, click check for update. If that doesn't work, you can manually install the update through HTC's website, but I remind you this erases everything on your phone. I had to do this with my wife's replacement phone, so back everything up you want to keep.

Swipe to the right twice... you'll see all of your other music apps on that page. Once you open Pandora from there, it will take the place of TuneIn on the main page of the app.

i have the 4.04 update but menu won't come up for any recent apps button setting. plus the battery life with minimal brightness, no wifi, all apps closed has been draining quickly. should i use android task killer? it's a disappointment since i don't wanna be on the charger all the time. if i keep it on the charger will the shelf life of the battery deteriorate. love the phone but am stuck with it post 30days. can i do fac reset to be able to root since the update has blocked rooting? sorry for long winded post i wanna keep it positive for all

pThe new update rocks. My phone is much more fluid, Wi-Fi is better, quadrant scores over 5240, it somehow freed up some ram, I couldn't be happier. No issues here on my end. Everything seems snappier.

Apparently it's bringing Beats Audio updates too...

What a great update! more useable screen on my apps thanks to no more menu button and my car mode (which I use EVERY DAY) now has Slacker Radio as a default right in the radio spot....I went from really liking my phone to LOVING it.

Thank you HTC!!!

Question... Did this get rid of the app drawer open lag? I would love to go back to sense from apex but it's just embarrassing how much faster it is with an alternative launcher.
