[AT&T] HTC One Boot Loader Will Be Locked Permanently Once Officially Released

Argh. All of this really makes me want to go TMo. But for somebody like me who doesn't need unlimited voice and text, there's basically no savings for going with the budget network...And probably a loss of coverage. Its the only reason. I haven't preordered.

I think I will just leave mine locked. Unlocked bootloader without s off is still a pain to flash roms in my opinion. I wish the developer one was unlocked s off

Am I missing something? I bought a full-price (wasn't elgible for discount) but not a dev version and went to HTC and signed up and have a fully unlocked bootloader. It's running CWM recovery and a couple different roms now. I'm slightly new to HTC but it appears this isn't true. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

According to the Engadget, At&t version of HTC One will not be able get it's boot loader unlocked once it sees the official release(presumably April 19th). Although it was reported some users who had early access to the HTC One, it was affirmed by HTC to the Engadget.com that the AT&T version of HTC ONE will not be supported by the HTCdev unlock service. It may be blocked once it's released officially.:-[

Appears to have been wrong.
