AT&T HTC One X to Nexus 4?

I've been using a case but like the look and feel of the back of the phone and am considering getting the bumper. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a few questions. How much thicker and wider does the bumper make the phone? Does it touch the tapered front face edge, interfering with swiping from the edge (as some cases, especially TPU ones, do)?

It doesn't make the phone that much thicker or wider at all...maybe a couple millimeters? On the front face, it doesn't get in the way of swiping at all and actually sits almost flush with the front, since it just barely wraps around the curves at the edges. Normally, I hate cases, but I'll take the extra protection since there isn't really an aesthetic or functional trade-off with the bumper.

Speaking of cases, the N4 arrived before the case and screen protector I ordered from Amazon even shipped...

Anybody have any suggestions as to what I can put my phone in while I wait? I've still got the two factory screen protectors on, but is there something sturdy I can place it in when it's in my gym bag, for example?

Or, better yet, does anybody know if any brick and mortar stores sell cheap N4 cases?
