AT&T Note 4 updating... looks like Lollipop

Didn't one of the versions of lollipop have a memory leak issue? hopefully this won't be an issue?

I dunno, I have downloaded 40% and only burned 10% of my battery. Hope that continues as I don't have my charger.

I would strongly advise you not to install it without the phone being on a charger. OS upgrades tend to be pretty, umm, intensive processes. They'll drain your battery out in a hurry, and not enough of the OS is loaded to monitor the battery during the process.

Just got my notification, downloading, but I may see if I can put off the install for a bit until I start hearing some screams (or cheers) on this thread.

Thanks. After reading this stuff I will try to make sure it doesn't start install until I can get home

Ok, so anybody know how to stop the DL. I just walked into a WiFi area at work that I use sometimes and checked my phone and of course, my update is DL'ing, which I did not want to do. I shut off WiFi and it says it will resume once back in WiFi range. I don't want this to happen either. If it DL's and then gives the option of installing - fine, I'll deny the install however, I will still have over 1GB of space taken-up on my internal memory from the install files.

Are we SOL? Really there's no way to stop automatic system/OS updates on this device?

Hope this is a sign for Verizon users. Also re the charger I think in my experience with big software updates your phone will tell you to plug into a charger.

On a side note, I updated an iPad yesterday and it wouldn't even install it with less than 50% battery

Nope, it doesn't demand a charger, and its not an iPad, so excuse my snarky comment, but it doesn't matter what an iPad does.

Downloading now! Taking forever though. Will update soon.
