AT&T Note 5 Nougat Update Today

This update kind of snuck up on us. I was expecting the monthly security update and thought "this looks different".

I just got it and I have apps crashing galore. LOL.

Not experiencing any apps crashing so far. First thing I did was to do a cache wipe after the update. I have noticed a huge drain on the battery though, my display defaulted to FHD instead of WQHD, new features in the stock web browser, a games launcher and games tools in the advance features of settings. Still playing around with it. I feel like I have a new phone now

I am also having some really bad lag. Ugh. Thankfully I only have the phone for another week and a half.

Wipe the cache partition and any issues should go away, loving Nougat on my Sprint Note 5, really gave it a new life I am now up in the air on getting an S8+ may wait for the Note 8.

Done that. It doesn't matter. I already pre-ordered the s8.

Just for giggles I decided to do a manual update check before I checked the forums and looks like I'm downloading the update and will have to complete the install I'm guessing whether I like it or not?

Anyway, if so, can someone tell me how to do this Cache wipe thing you guys are talking about in this thread?

Thanks greatly

Its under settings under the system tab then storagethen look down to cached data tap and hit clear

Me too ,mad I didn't check this forum earlier 😁, downloading now

I found out from the forum also. Really didn't expect at&t to release it this quick after the delay with v6.01. Scared me though. This was the EASIEST update I've ever done.

Finished, I'm liking the new look, especially in the default messaging app. I think I cleared the cache as mentioned above

Playing around ,I really like the changes in the Samsung calendar. Someone said it feels like having a new phone , I agree ☺
