AT&T Note9 Pie OTA Rolling out Live

Another note

Since my tmobile is unlocked last month I decided to flash Verizon firmware and still using my tmobile sim it didn't change the boot splash kept tmobile but added some of Verizon bloat , now I'm on pie with my Att and flashed it with Att sim it changed to the Att logo and all of its bloatware.

Edit: the Verizon bloat you can uninstall same with most of Att

From what I understand, to have gotten rid of the T-Mobile boot screen, the correct process would have been to flash the unlocked firmware onto the phone FIRST, then flash the carrier version that you want second.

Pie gets rid of all of that and boots into the correct firmware depending on what sim you are using and the boot up logo will change accordingly.

Verizon phones are sold unlocked. All other carrier phones are locked and that includes AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Xfinity Mobile.

You have to get them unlocked to be able to switch sim cards no matter what and that includes Pie.

There is no getting around that. Your cousin probably had his phones unlocked.

Ok i must feel dumb , lol forgot that out of my 4 AT&T Note 9 one is unlocked that's why it works on any simcard.

You don't need to flash unlocked firmware first to get another carrier boot screen, your sim will dictate what splash screen you'll see.

Unlocked firmware will not show any carrier boot screen regardless of sim
Just Samsung logo

Edit : As long as your unlocked

When I just now flashed the AT&T firmware on my T-Mobile phone, like you, mine was still showing the T-Mobile boot up screen with my AT&T sim card inserted. I then flashed the unlocked firmware onto the phone and the T-Mobile boot up screen was now gone with my AT&T sim inserted.

I then flashed the AT&T firmware onto the phone and the AT&T boot up screen was now showing. So it does work.

Okay, so I just flashed to ARL1 through Odin and so far it is successful. Now I am going to flash to Pie through the SD card. Hopefully it works.

Update: Updated to Pie successfully. Did they disable the battery percentage for Pie? Can't see it anymore unless I slide down quick panel.
Do you have the unlocked U1 model?
