I've been worrying about the 2-step verification as well. I don't have my old phone anymore. How do I deal with the 2-step after the factory reset? Is there a backup method to get a code?only issue I had was I have 2 Step Verification on and needed to get the code when restoring , luckily I had my old phone with Google Voice # and got the code

I would do this take out sim and reset method...but its just a big hassle to get all my 70+ apps back and have to log into each of them again to set them up. Maybe if its not here by the weekend i will think about this.
So I did the PhoneArena suggestion and it worked but now I'm having issues getting NY Yahoo email working through gmail like it used to.
