AT&T release date????

I picked up a Note 2 at a Best Buy Mobile on Saturday, finally dumping my tired BB Torch. I asked the guy to let me look at/play with the Z10 first, though.

They didn't even have one on display. He had to take it out of a drawer to show it to me, as if it were contraband. Nice going on the second day after its release.

They should have had that live display on the shelf the day it was released. Store laziness

Same thing happened last year when the One X was released and then blocked at customs so nobody could find one for a month after release. I remember getting mine on release day and I had people asking me left and right what phone it was and what not then telling me they went to ATT and they didn't have any. Almost all of them ended up with a GS3.

Ok, for what its worth , here is my two cents worth. I was talking with an AT&T rep the other day about a HTC surround , the conversation shifted and ended up on the HTC One, his story. The phone was to be out in mid March then pushed to the end of April, with assuming an on contract price of $299. or out right no contract in the $600 to $700 price. In further talking the GS4 would be about the same price and a better phone for the reason of the sd card and removable battery plus docking features would be better with the GS 4. Take that as its worth.

i disagree, i think it will start at 199, theyll lose alot of sales if it isn't, including mine.

Yes, if HTC thinks they can outsell the S4 by charging MORE THAN the S4 they will be in for a mighty rude awakening.

I am waiting to upgrade to the One, but I will NOT pay more than the cost of an S4 to do so. While I love the look of the One, good hardware is want is most important to me, and I won't pay more simply to have a "prettier" phone.

Who says they want to outsell the S4? They want to maximize profits, and if they do that by charging more and selling fewer devices then that's what they'll do.

The point is they won't sell more units because an equal if not superior product (at least from a hardware perspective) would be available for $50 less, which would divert many sales that the One would have otherwise gotten.

The price will 100% be $199. HTC is pricing the developer edition at $650 in line with the off contract AT&T model. AT&T always adds $450 to the subsidized price when you buy off contract. $650-$450 = $200.

That isn't necessarily true. Many times there are single features that make or break a decision. For some the non-removable battery is a deal breaker. For me a phone that feels similar to the SGSIII is not something I'm interested in.

Again, they may not be interested in selling the most units, just taking as much profit as possible.

I just want the damn phone already!!! I'll be happy with an official DATE, not before the end of April...... sighsssssssss

Looks like preorders may start this week, but entry price will be $250 on contract--the same as the S4.

Personally, at this rate, for the money the LG Optimus G is looking like a steal for $99. Seems like AT&T is quietly trying to make $250 the new subsidized price for top smartphones. That's a lot to swallow on top of what we already pay them every month.

Thoughts?

In the past few days the AT&T price on the One X+ actually went UP from $99.99 to $199.99.

At the time I was left scratching my head, but now it makes sense if the One will cost $250 for the base model upon release.

Of course, its just silly that this 'leak' just happened to come out on April Fool's Day...
I swear, if this is someone trolling... -___-
