AT&T Software Update Thread

My battery isn't as good since the update either. Few days before I was easily getting over 5 hours of SOT. Now I'm at 54% and only have 1 hour and 45 minutes of SOT. Just tried clearing the cache and rebooting so I'll see if that helps. No way you should have to do a factory reset after an update. That is completely ridiculous.

My battery seems to be draining fast as hell after this update.

Yes sadly mine has also. I've been trying to fix it too, but haven't found what is causing it and it's not showing anything different in the usage of the battery area as it was before.

To clear the cache just turn the phone off then press and hold volume up, Bixby and power buttons until a menu pops up. Then use volume keys to navigate to wipe cache partition.

Details on how to get in recovery on this phone and wipe the cache would help.
Power the phone down. Then press and hold power, volume up and the Bixby buttons at the same time until it boots into recovery.

From there use the volume down button to get to "wipe cache partition". Press the power button to select it.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. Just did it. Will see what happens now.

Reporting back that after clearing the cache, my battery is back to being awesome again. I'm at just under 50% battery and have had 3 and a half hours of SOT. I periodically clear the cache but I'll have to make it a point to do it after updates.

Ok so I did the full factory reset, saved my messages only and then setup as new. Battery seems to be back on track, off charger at 9am, I used Google maps for around an hour and half, pandora for an hour, and SOT is a little over 3 hours right now and I'm at 47%.

Another thing I do is in device care then 3 dots put all my apps to sleep that I can add with the "Add button" this helps with battery also and no issues with notifications so far 3 days running like this

That's great to hear. Still didn't work for me. Looks like I'll be FDR tomorrow.

He's a screen shot of my battery. Unplugged around 9am yesterday made it to 4:00pm today before it hit 10%

Mine still is not good after a cache wipe. I'm running debloat and have paired it down as much as I can. My LG v40 is better at this point.

With reports of Verizon and now T-Mobile receiving the April update, I thought it would be a good time to revive this thread.

Anyone on AT&T receive the April update yet? If not, please post when you do.
