AT&T Software Update Thread

I've been with AT&T for about 8 years and never had this issue - that is as far as I know! But I have seen posts from other people not getting updates. So I know it can happen.

I can see myself not getting the May just yet because the rollout is probably staggered. Does anyone know if there was a March or April security update?

Certainly an April update. That is what my 10+ has on it currently.

I'm still on the February security patch level. I just checked for updates and still no updates. WTF!?!?

I had an issue not getting updates for a couple months on my Galaxy S9+. I ended up calling AT&T and they pushed it to my device. After I called them, I got the update the next day I think it was. You could try that

Thanks fur the suggestion. I'll have to give them a call even though I know calling AT&T customer service is usually a frustrating experience. UGH!

I got an update yesterday and I noticed it downloaded the May security patch. That's the only thing I noticed.

I got it this morning. hopefully it fixes the battery drain from the last update.

Stupid question. If you clear the cache does it delete everything? I know a factory reset will but just wondering. Now a few days after my last comment about my phone saying it had an update, I get another one today.

Clearing cache will not delete any data. Only factory reset will.

I had a software update last week, it killed my battery life. Sunday I did a factory reset, set up my phone and charged it over night. That charge lasted from Monday through Tuesday night with 6 hours of SOT. Then Wednesday I get a notification for another software update.... I installed it last night, now I'll play the waiting game to see if it tanks my battery. I really hope it doesn't, bc factory resets are getting a little old lol

I hate having do factory resets also (huge pain). I just installed the latest update and cleared my phone's system cache. Hopefully, that will be enough and I won't have any detrimental battery drain.

Bump! June update released with new Night mode included in the camera app. As well as native QR code scanning.

No night mode? Make sure it's turned on in Modes section of the camera settings.
