So I'm in the AT&T store today, playing with the S3 and asked if there was any word on the 32 gig phones, and this goofy mgr.. manager, mind you, not a kid clerk... tells me the 32 gig phone is not as good, because it's just a Galaxy 3, not a Galaxy S3. I kind of assumed she knew what she was talking about and said "No, not the Apollo or the i5800, I mean this phone."

She got irritated with me and told me there was no Apollo or I5800 and that she wasn't talking about an iPhone, and I about laughed in her face! I can understand her not knowing about every Samsung phone released, but come on.... iPhone? She could tell I tuned her out then, so she moved closer to stand by the phone and made sure that I understood the 32gig version of the S3 would look just the same, but be called Galaxy 3 and have a lot fewer bells and whistles.

At this point I just wanted to play and asked her why they would give the other phone more storage space if you couldn't do as much with it...

Her answer? Marketing

Oy vey... Where do they find these people? :-!

Hahahahahahaha Wtf. Yeh. Sometimes it really shocks me how little they know about the products THEY sell. If I went into my job that way God knows what would happen. I'll tell ya what. People would die that's what.

LOL...I went in on Wednesday to pre-order it thinking I could pick it up at the store today (turns out they shipped it to my house...still waiting). I was talking to the sales guy about the delay from the 21st and he says, "Know why it was delayed?" I replied, "Well, I know about the poor paint job on the blue battery covers and then Samsung didn't make enough." He says, "No, Apple sued them over it and it was delayed." Wanted to correct him, but just let it drop.

The guy also said I'd have it by the time everyone else did because they'll ship it FedEx. Turns out, they use the good ol' US Postal Service, so I'll be lucky if it comes in Saturday.

Don't these people do their homework? :-\

I ordered my phone Thursday of last week, and had it in my hands that Saturday, and it shipped USPS. Speedy shipping with them honestly.

Good to know. I hope mine follows suit. The USPS tracking site hasn't been updated in about 22 hours. I'm like a little kid the night before Christmas.

USPS has like this really crummy reputation as being unreliable and slow, but to be honest, I've ordered a million things online, and every single time it gets shipped with USPS, I get it in a matter of days, at the most 4 days, and with FedEx or UPS, delays are ridiculous, and it can take me over a week to get my item, even though the tracking number shows it is located a city that is only 30 minutes away! I hate FedEx and UPS

Mine said "Shipped" Thursday evening, and then updated again Saturday morning. You should be fine, especially if they're starting to catch up with demand a little.

You're right. It showed up this morning. I almost hugged the mail lady. :D
